Known as the "Crossroads of the World", Times Square is a dazzling intersection famed for its lavish neon signs, grand theaters, and pulsating crowds. Whether you're on your way to a Broadway show, a buzzing bar or one of the family-friendly restaurant that line the streets, look out for iconic structures like the Paramount Building and One Times Square – site of the celebrated New Year's Eve ball drop.
One of the art capitals of the world, Chelsea has literally hundreds of renowned galleries to explore, including the Gagosian and the Gladstone. A taste of New York life can be had at Chelsea Market, a vast warren of artisan food stalls. The High Line, an elevated promenade, offers fantastic views of this upscale neighbourhood, while the Chelsea Piers – intended destination of the Titanic – is a great Manhattan landmark.
Think "New York City" and the sights of Midtown East will spring to mind . There's the towering Art Deco splendor of the Chrysler Building, the gleaming edges of the Empire State Building, and the opulence of Grand Central – arguably the world's most famous train station. For top flight shopping, make your way to Saks Fifth Avenue, and you can even walk the corridors of power at the UN Headquarters.
Anyone visiting the Big Apple will want to explore Midtown West – this is where the razzle dazzle of Times Square is, after all. Take in a show on Broadway or, if you fancy giving your mind a workout, take a tour of the celebrated Museum of Modern Art (or MoMA). And when your tummy starts rumbling, check out the French brasseries, sushi bars and Russian eateries on Restaurant Row.
Sandwiched between the winding Hudson River and lush Central Park, Manhattan's Upper West Side is home to New York's most exclusive high-rise apartments, as well as Columbia University. The American Museum of Natural History makes it a history-buff's dream, while the Lincoln Center showcases everything from opera to jazz. A stroll around Riverside Park in full bloom is a fine way to spend a sunny day.

Location great for our needs, Broadway and Madison Square. Room has been recently modernised, neat and tidy. We were located on the side not facing out to Times Square which is less noisy, but it is NYC if you want quiet either upgrade to top floors or stay in and around Central Park.
"Amazing 40th floor views"

I booked this hotel through hotels.com on a discounted rate and was pleasantly surprised to be given a top floor room on the 40th floor on the West Wing with amazing views of the Chrysler building and the city. Staff members were incredibly helpful and friendly. Very clean. Free access to refreshments at the Skyline club lounge was a nice way to unwind at the end of the day after braving the colder-than-normal New York weather at this time of the year. It's a 5 minute walk to Grand Central station. Complimentary wifi made it easier to plan the day. Not a lot of nightclubs around but this didn't bother me because clubs are not my thing anyway (esp not at sub-zero night temperatures!). Thanks for an enjoyable city break.
"Excellent location for shows, generous sized rooms"

Overall our stay was excellent, an uncommonly rude receptionist made it very difficult for my daughter to check in after my plane was delayed and I was unable to check in with my credit card. On approaching him about his manner he was completely unwilling to acknowledge his rudeness. That part aside the room was excellent all other staff very friendly and location to Broadway shows was unbeatable. I unreservedly recommend this hotel.
"Union square so handy to everywhere"

Very conveniently located. We needed to get to Williamsburg every day via the L train, but wanted to stay in Manhatten for other options. When it's snowing and 20 degrees out you gotta make it easy as possible. Hotel is modern and clean with young friendly staff who were very eager to please. We would definitely return.
"Good hotel great value"

Everything was good, esp the breakfast and room rates. The only main issue for us was the bed. Over our 7-night stay, we could not have a good deep sleep primarily because of the quality of the mattress and pillows.
"Definitely Stay Here"

Great hotel with kitchenette in room for those who have special diets and just like to bring food to have on hand when hard locating place to eat. Absolutely impressed that full breakfast came included as well as free wine and beer and nibbles several evenings. Rooms and rest of hotel immaculate. Husband love gym facility and the laundry facilities to wash clothes. Great location to walk many places. Only downside was length of time to wait for lift. Would definitely stay again!
Hotel dated however clean bed linen & towels when room serviced every 2nd day for price great location and slept well. Offered all I needed a place to sleep & shower as spent very little time in the hotel, definitely worth considering if you would rather spend your money elsewhere.
