Known as the "Crossroads of the World", Times Square is a dazzling intersection famed for its lavish neon signs, grand theaters, and pulsating crowds. Whether you're on your way to a Broadway show, a buzzing bar or one of the family-friendly restaurant that line the streets, look out for iconic structures like the Paramount Building and One Times Square – site of the celebrated New Year's Eve ball drop.
One of the art capitals of the world, Chelsea has literally hundreds of renowned galleries to explore, including the Gagosian and the Gladstone. The High Line, an elevated promenade, offers fantastic views of this upscale neighbourhood, while the Chelsea Piers – intended destination of the Titanic – is a great Manhattan landmark.
Think "New York City" and the sights of Midtown East will spring to mind . There's the towering Art Deco splendor of the Chrysler Building, the gleaming edges of the Empire State Building, and the opulence of Grand Central – arguably the world's most famous train station. For top flight shopping, make your way to Saks Fifth Avenue, and you can even walk the corridors of power at the UN Headquarters.
Anyone visiting the Big Apple will want to explore Midtown West – this is where the razzle dazzle of Times Square is, after all. Take in a show on Broadway or, if you fancy giving your mind a workout, take a tour of the celebrated Museum of Modern Art (or MoMA). And when your tummy starts rumbling, check out the French brasseries, sushi bars and Russian eateries on Restaurant Row.
Sandwiched between the winding Hudson River and lush Central Park, Manhattan's Upper West Side is home to New York's most exclusive high-rise apartments, as well as Columbia University. We arrived early in the morning from the Red eye flight from LA and were given a room straight way, which meant we could rest up before hitting 5th Ave. This does not often happen with hotels but we certainly appreciated it and will return. as usual the rooms are splendid, the size generous and every detail immaculate.A wonderful treat in the best position in New York
"An ok hotel"

Good condition and easy access to the metro, but noisy and as with other comments, the room is very small. We actually expected more in terms of the uniqueness and the boutique quality of the hotel, but quite difficult to find.
"Awesome Family Hotel - the way it should be"

Very contemporary hotel. The experience has been designed with a tech-literate audience in mind. Check yourself in (easy). Very modern hotel with quiet rooms and bunks for the kids. Staff is young and energetic. Dohyo restaurant is excellent (unusual for a hotel restaurant).
"great hotel - meets all criteria"

Spent 4 nights at Casa - Wish to advise that the Hotel met 90% of our personal criteria for a New York Visit - the staff were great - our only complaint is that the room was not equipped with an electric kettle or cups and the music at the reception entrance was too loud - otherwise excellent and will recommend to others.

I was able to check in earlier than expected which was a great relief as I'd been on the move for nearly 48 hours without any rest. The location was great, across the street was Penn Station so moving around the five boroughs was simple. The room was very clean and comfortable, the bed was the best hotel bed I've been in for many years. Over the course of my four nights in Manhattan I came to understand how lucky I'd been to find and stay at The New Yorker.
