Sightseeing in Miami

- Coconut Grove

Once a bohemian village, Coconut Grove is now better known for its alfresco Cocowalk shopping-restaurant complex and Broadway shows at the 1950s Coconut Grove Playhouse.

- South Beach

South Beach’s white sandy seafront, turquoise waters, upscale shopping, and iconic architecture blend perfectly with the clubs, bars, and restaurants lining its bustling boulevards. Here, stylish crowds mingle with celebrities to sunbathe, shop, drink, dance, and dine. America’s answer to the French Riviera, South Beach, or SoBe, is the place where the beautiful come to stay, play, and party. A South Beach vacation is the perfect destination for young travelers wanting a lively getaway in an unforgettable location that’s brimming with fun!

Transportation in Miami

Miami’s international airport is the major arrivals hub for visitors, with flights arriving from across the Americas as well as from selected European cities. Access from Austalia is likely to be via Los Angeles, however. Onward transportation is via the newly-opened MetroRail station in the complex, giving a fast journey to the city based on a schedule operating between 05:00 and midnight. Hotel shuttles, an Airport Express bus, local buses, affordable taxis and car rental are all available, but road traffic in the city can be heavy, severely affecting journey times. If you’re staying in the downtown district, the Metromover elevated people mover is free and links most destinations.
