"The communications with check in team was great and saved us time. They escorted us to our cave nicely located and with a great view. The cave has a few windows which help us (North Americans) to see outside. The place was clean with a nice patio outside."

"The room was not huge but the perfect size for our short stay. It was clean and held traditional to its Santorini roots with stone white washed walls that made u feel like u were inside the mountainside. The view was stupendous as you had visible access to the entire caldera as well as the blue dome churches. The staff was extremely helpful with reservations and recommendations from excursions to lunch/dinner. Breakfast (to our surprise) was included and it was top tier. Everything was extremely fresh and the display made u feel like you were VIP. Saint Santorini is in an ideal sweet spot in Oia, as it is 3 minutes walking distance to the local shops and the “downtown” area where u can easily walk towards Ammoudi Bay, the Castle, and the Blue Dome churches. The bus stop to Imerovigli and Fira is literally a 1 minute walk from the hotel. The sky bar at Saint Santorini had well mixed drinks and a lengthy listing of wines. However please note, the flying bugs (not sure what they are but pretty sure they are native) was A LOT. Towards sunset we had to move our table as they were literally all over the place. (Maybe it was mating season lol) . Overall I would choose to stay here again"

"The hotel is very well situated. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had rooms 104 and 105. Vie is stunning for your morning coffee on the terrace in front of the rooms. The terrace is a common area for the hotel guests only, but it feels private. For a great experience try to reserve in a restaurant that overlooks the sunset."

"This is a beautiful property set in the caldera of Santorini. The rooms are built into the cliff. The service is amazing. The views are amazing. The food was amazing. So why the two stars? Reject Rooms 38 and 39. Don’t accept them if they put you there. Every tourist on the island will be at your doorstep. These two rooms are situated at the bottom of stairs that are near a public area. While they have a rope there to deter the tourists from walking down to take photos, it doesn’t work. The tourists simply remove the rope and come down right in front of your room gate to take photos. I complained several times to the hotel about this. It was such a colossal nuisance that ruined my serene stay and views. I paid over ten thousand dollars for 3 nights so I shouldn’t have to deal with every tourist on the island taking a photo in front of my room. This is NOT a cheap hotel so I should have high expectations of the property. It is affiliated with The Four Seasons. Other hotels have gates blocking the stairs coming down to the hotel. But not Katakies. So everyone took advantage of the rope that was too easy to remove. They offered to move us but couldn’t guarantee that we would be together. We opted not to move because we were traveling as a family and wanted to be near each other and were already unpacked. Also, for Room 39, you would need to climb a set a stairs to access your hot tub which is at the same level as the tourists. So the tourists are watching you. It’s awful."
