Sightseeing near Souk Madinat Jumeirah

- Dubai Creek

Dubai developed around Dubai Creek and some of its old shipping traditions can still be witnessed during a trip along the length of the creek. The creek is edged by the area's original custom houses and visitors can soak up the views from the comfort of a dinner cruise. The creek takes around an hour to drift up and down and there are also plenty of opportunities to hire an abra (traditional boat) complete with a driver for private tours of the creek.

- Wild Wadi Water Park

For those traveling with children, the water park is a must-see with the extremely popular Jumeirah Sceirah free-fall ride and its Arabian adventure theme that runs throughout. The Wild Wadi park can be reached with ease via hire car, taxi or bus.

Transportation near Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Walking around Dubai is not highly advisable due to the extreme heat and intense sun. The local bus systems are top-quality and services run on time and are fairly cheap to use. Alternatively, taxis can be used but be prepared to arrange a price before entering the cab or demand that the meter is switched on to avoid a lengthy and heated discussion about the pricing system.

Abras are the local version of small boats that constantly ferry passengers for a small fee between the two areas and these can also be rented for the hour or day along with a driver for a reasonable rate.
