Amazing stay, Lovely & clean breakfast & can park.

Amazing stay. We stayed in Room 8, it was lovely and clean and really had the wow factor. The restaurant and breakfast were also spot on. We hope to book again when we come next year and also recommended it to friends on Facebook.

Was nice enough..room decor was very "tired", shower water in morning wasnt hot...and they didnt serve breakfast till after 8am, and we needed to leave by 7.45am...pleasant, helpful staff.

Ignore any negative reviews. If you're paying this price, it's fair to expect a few compromises. But a comfortable night's sleep and a filling breakfast was very welcome. The staff are friendly and the curry for dinner was just what the doctor ordered.

Central location, we managed to find the last parking space. Our room wasn’t the best in terms of size or style, with water ingress in the walls around electrical points. The basin tap was also worryingly loose. The decoration to the common areas and carpet on the site could do with renewing. Good choices at breakfast. The stay was good value overall.

2/10 Poor

Shower didn't work, room very old and cheap furniture and doors didn't shut properly mattresses smelt of old sweat,

The rooms were small, but clean, and maybe slightly over priced versus say Travelodge or Premier Inn.

Cheap and cheerful

Excellent location in Witney and lovely staff. Food smelled and looked amazing altho we did not try . Room was in need of a lot if tlc altho was clean. Room Needs some investment in upgrading bathroom and decoration. Cheap and cheerful overall

The Old Court Stay

The Old Court in Witney was ideal for us, and we will return to stay there when we`re in the area in future. the food was excellent, and although a bit small, the room had everything we needed. The Bed however was a little too soft for our liking, which was the only negative, but as we weren`t staying there for a week, not too much of an inconvenience. The Staff were all very polite and helpful, which is all we ask anywhere.

We couldn't get the shower to work but was quickly remedied. The room is a bit tired and smelt of damp, which to a degree is to be expected in an old building but was a bit overbearing at times

Staff were very nice but the room was very tired and needs a complete revamp the shower went from hot to cold and then no water at all I turned it off and waited a few minutes to turn it back on but was still hot then cold I reported the problem on my first day and nothing was sorted

One night stay in Witney. The hotel was good value, quiet room (despite being near busy road) and staff were lovely.

Courteous and pleasantly friendly staff. Clean room with comfortable extra large four poster bed.

Limited parking, the hotel was clean and friendly staff. The bathroom was tiny and shower not brilliant but bed was comfy. It smelled all night of the food they cooked that was the only down fall but for one night stay was cheap and cheerful.

Asked for gluten free toast and they didn't have any. Most hotels now freeze a loaf for gluten intolerant guests. Otherwise good basic hotel for a one night stay in Witney.

A short stay at the courthouse

Great staff, nice and friendly, room was generally clean and tidy Food was excellent Down side walls are so thin I was kept awake by with people snoring, coming and going or going to the toilet Black mold in the shower so could do with refreshing in the grouting. Also even thou I had the do not disturb sign in the door they knocked and wanted to clean 😞 As a short hop stay for 2 days it was ok

good to stay

check in was easy - there are some steep steps up to the rooms to bear in mind. All the usual was available, tea, coffee, water, hairdryer, towels etc etc The bathroom needs a bit of TLC. The shower pressure wasn't brilliant. This is great for a one night stay, and close enough if you are visiting clarksons pub

Good location but not so good hotel

The room was very basic and there was hardly any hot water running from the shower. The curtains didn’t fully close so a lot of light was let in and the windows weren’t double glazed and the room was next to a busy road, so we did not get a good sleep that night. The bed was also small and well used and not at all comfortable. Would not recommend staying here.
Gary, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Our hotel room was right off the back patio with 2 double beds and the bathroom was full of black mold and uninhabitable. We requested another room but none were available, so we requested a refund and found another hotel at the last minute. Still waiting on the refund but we found another hotel to stay at that was great.

Not bad for price

Meet up with family. Although hotel is a bit dated the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit tight for space as the bed was 4 poster and super king size but It was also very comfy. The breakfast was good. For the price it was good

Really lovely staff and the restaurant looks lovely inside. Unfortunately the scruffy looking front matches the rooms. Ok the rooms was small, not a huge issue. The towels were threadbare and stained. The shower was very mouldy. No iron or hair drier (i disnt ask for one i confess). Still slept well and ple ty of parking
Marion, 1-night trip

Okay for a 1 night stay and reasonably priced for the area but very tired and a bit tatty around the edges in places. Our over bath shower was really difficult to turn on.

Great value for money

For the money this was lovely. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant provided delicious asian food in the evening. the staff were all really lovely. The room we had was the suite. It was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom needed an update on decoration and the jucuzi was not working. It was enormous. plenty of room for two. We were stay there again. We would like to see fire doors added throughout as this would bring more peace of mind. It is an easy walk into Witney. The reception area is cosy and welcoming.
