When it comes to things to do in Cheung Chau, you'll find that taking things slow is actually part of its charm.  One of the most traditional parts of Hong Kong,  the island is the exact opposite of what you think of when you imagine Hong Kong – no skyscrapers, glittering lights and neon-drenched streets here! There aren’t even any cars. Instead, think ancient temples, rock carvings and a gentle pace of life.

Most impressively, Cheung Chau has a couple of beaches. You probably never thought of Hong Kong as a beach destination but, sure enough, it has a couple of pleasant stretches of sand on this particular island. Watching the colourful fishing boats bobbing about at the harbour makes for a pleasantly peaceful escape from the sleepless city.
