Souq Waqif
A green oasis by the bay

Down by the water, in the sheltered curve of Doha Bay, the paths of MIA Park wind in elegant swirling patterns through a fairytale oasis. The park is named after the Museum of Islamic Art, which stands proudly just off the shore, lit at night to become an imposing beacon over the water.
Stroll along the palm-tree-lined waterfront at sunset to see the glowing pinks and oranges of the sky reflected in the water of the bay or bring a romantic twilight picnic to share on the grass. It’s an idyllic place to while away an evening.

MIA park
A carefully crafted island full of shops and eateries

The Pearl is a stunningly designed, manufactured island to the north of Doha. Crafted into separate, individual bays, where the lofty columns of buildings face inwards towards the marinas and the central island. This incredible triumph of engineering and planning is sure to astound you, as well as make for excellent pictures.
It’s not just the design that delights, however, The Pearl is packed with shops and restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, including specialist chocolatiers and ice cream parlors. You’ll be spoilt for choice as you explore the area, but there’s something to suit every taste.
