New hotel, nice but not yet perfect
Its a brand new place so it is in excellent condition and the beds are still perfect and very comfortable. There are some small issues however - in 2 different rooms I had, the shower door swing was wrong so you couldn't place the bath mat on the floor. Which is necessary because there is no real slope to the shower stall, so the water just pours out onto the bathroom floor. Many coworkers of mine commented on low water pressure as well. The rooms are a generous size with nice touches like USB ports, LAN ports and HDMI port for the flatscreen TV. The lighting is perhaps a bit dim however. The AC units are very modern and quite quiet. The breakfast area is a bit crowded and often ran low on supplies while we were there The gym is pretty decent but requires a staff member to allow access to it. The from desk staff were very nice and friendly, however they were not able to change currency which some coworkers were hoping for. The small mall around the hotel is nice with some higher end places, but it's a bit limited. In my opinion the City Express at the Herradura plaza offers more nearby.

Excellent property. Here are the only problems I found with the property: 1. The address is wrong and I was sent to different locations using my google maps. 2. There was a problem with the shower floor, water spilled outside the shower all over the bathroom. The property is great, I will definately stay there next time.

Although still not 100% completed, open only a for a week, the hotel hinted to what type of hotel guest will completely enjoy. Everything was 1st class. Rooms were equal in luxury to some of the nicer hotels in the states. world class shopping and food court to come. The free breakfast was great also. A little bit of everything, especially great tasting Mexican food. Plan on coming back next year for our annual Tampico visits.
