The staff member who greeted us and checked us in & out was very friendly and polite. Sadly, the room had a number of problems which were partly due to the host family being new to the business, run off their feet and having to learn fast. Most importantly though, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, clean & immaculately made. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Problems though were: No teaspoons at all in the cutlery drawer. Landlady had to kindly lend us some of her own. Lots of salt, pepper, sugar in the dining table bowl, & 4 teabags, but only 1 drinking chocolate sachet and absolutely no coffee at all! (The only thing I drink!) The hot water was scalding (literally) but there were no mixer taps, in either kitchen or bathroom (apart from shower of course, which was fine). So I tried putting the plug in the washbasin to fill it from both taps, but - it didn't fit (too small) and leaked away immediately. To our horror, when we got bowls out from the crockery cupboard, the one next to the bottom was all stained (i.e. not washed, just dried dirty) and the one below had dirty water in it! Probably the fault of the cleaners, or maybe a previous tenant simply put the bowls away after use, forgetting they were not yet washed. The facilities were pretty much ok for a single guest but very spartan for more - no bedside tables, no shelves, racks etc. around washbasin (nor in shower) for toiletry items, & only 1 single towel rail - need at least 2 more attached to wall or door.

The owner is very special and took extra care of this property. Everything is simple and cozy. It is many herbs and veggies all over the place that all guests can use, what I think is a nice touch. The owner also make sure to help us go around and suggest great activities. The place is also a walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

We enjoyed how the on-site owner opened up her garden to us. Being able to pick your own fruit and veggies for free was glorious! We had one issue with the bed being way too soft as both my husband and I have bad backs. Both of us woke up feeling stiff and sore.

The proprietor was very friendly and very helpful, allowing us to borrow a piece of furniture for a funeral service and offering a discount for a local restaurant and suggestions for good fish and chips. Warm, clean and spacious two-bedroom unit with electric blankets already on for us!
