We really enjoyed our time at Hideaways. This was our first trip to Exumas, and it was a short one, but from what we could tell, this resort was an excellent value for the area. The location was very good for a short stay-- close to airport, walkable to a gorgeous beach (and the beach directly outside the resort was nice too), easy walk or shuttle into George Town. Our room was clean and comfortable, and from what we could tell, the Splash Bar on the resort was one of the better food options in the immediate area, along with the fish fry shacks a few minutes walk down the road.

We booked this hotel on Expedia and when we arrived they didn’t actually have the room we had booked. The staff was great though and upgraded us to an Oceanfront cottage. We very much appreciated their accommodating us. The cottage itself was good. It had a weird smell. I suspect it was a cleaning product that smelled like fake flowers and was really overwhelming. We immediately had to open all of the windows. It’s possible that the room was cleaned last minute for us so I shouldn’t complain. I will complain about the bathroom shower not being clean and the dark hairs all over the bathroom floor that we’re definitely not ours! Overall, this accommodation is very tired and need some maintenance. The atmosphere is pleasant though. If you get a good price then you will be OK with the little things that keep it from being truly fabulous.

Great location nice raffish facilities across the street Informal restaurant with friendly staff and view if beach, pool, beach which can be narrow at high tide with a stunning view. Rooms modern and very clean. Short taxi or long walk into town. 20 minutes from the airport
