Found out they didn’t do shuttle to Tampa only to St Pete after searching for hotels with shuttle service for our flight. Got there at 9 pm on Friday during busy season and hotel bar closed at 9 every though there were people in the bar. Workout facility had an empty water jug. Went for coffee at 9am and it was empty. Overall seemed more about running with a lean staff than making sure our stay was good.

This hotel could use a facelift. Bed was comfy and room was cleaned as well as it could be, but a laminate-like floor and unadorned room wasn't great. There was no sitting chair in the room, which was an issue because the desk chair was a super-basic office chair (mine was broken, but staff was very courteous about replacing it) that provided no support and is not meant for a day's work. Important note: Hotels.com listing says "airport shuttle," but it's for PIE only, not TPA, and the night I arrived they had no driver. It's a $32-40 Uber ride.
