Profile: Old City

Profile: Old City

Old City is a charming, time portal of a district in Philadelphia, located on the Delaware River. It’s famed as the area where you’ll find Independence Hall, where the Founding Fathers convened to shape the future of the newly born United States. The majestic Liberty Bell, symbol of the burgeoning nation, can also be seen in the district.

In the mood for more up-to-date pleasures? You can find lounges, bars, and clubs all within this historical area, and it’s not uncommon to find live street music either. For all-day fun, take a wander along the waterfront stretch of Penn’s Landing.

    Stay Somewhere Else

The site did not mention parking and it was 35 a day which they told us the first night, but neglected to mentioned the tax was an additional 22.5%, parking for three nights was around $120. That is a lot of money not to state on their website.

    Great customer service & location

Representatives at the front desk were helpful and nice, always greeting you when you come into the lobby. Gentleman first name starting with letter “V”, can’t remember his name have outstanding customer service and fixed my issue with parking immediately . Hotel is a little dated and our room looked like it hadn’t been dusted in a while but beds were very comfortable. Would have been nice to have coffee in the lobby but made due for a great location.

Convenient for tourism, watch out for parking fees

The parking fees are quite high and not included in the quoted hotel rate. This should be made more clear! The rooms were comfortable but services were limited, mostly due to COVID. Would have been nice to have breakfast or vouchers to a nearby establishment!

    PHILLY PHILLY Phillies Historic District

This is our second time staying at the Wyndham Philly. We love the location and the rooftop pool (wasn't open this time). The room was nice but the property could use some cosmetic fixes. Elevators were dark (bad lighting) Hallways were dark. Wish there was housekeeping. Front desk was fantastic. Shout out to ARVEL HALL!!! He was AWESOME. The front desk staff was great all around.

    Nice hotel for the price

The front desk staff is very friendly, the room was clean. The bed is a little hard and the tub could be updated. There is no breakfast, the pool is not open or slated to be opened until the health department says so..parking is 37.50 a night and they add it to your room. There are places to eat and visit just a few steps away. Overall, it was a good stay. Will stay here again.

    Okay

Great location. Stay was okay. First room smelled like smoke but room was quickly exchanged. Room was clean and honestly just basic. Did the trick but wouldn't go back.
