Elegant old line hotel was a comfortable stay
I booked the Forum Hotel because of location, as well as the antique decor. The service at this hotel was excellent. the room was beautiful. the room did not have the extra bed it should have. But the hotel staff quickly moved one in for use, and all was well. the older wood panels and oil paintings in this hotel gave it the old world feel we were looking for. Our room had a very nice view of the ruins. The lobby was nice to sit and read in, or just rest in. the rooftop bar had a fabulous view, and was a great way to relax. I would definitely return to this hotel.

All about location
Really old hotel in a great location right across from Forum and walking distance from everything. Hotel is very old but needs major upgrade. Our room was good size and very clean. Once this was a great place. Rooftop bar is great but very expensive, like NYC expensive, but worth it. Overall service was efficient but not very personable.

Charming old style hotel but the I got was very small although comfortable the bed took almost all the space It was extremely hot that week so windows could not be open AC was good Reception was very efficient No problem getting taxis The Bar could have been open earlier with more efficient service They need to pay attention to small details like having coffee stirrers

Good for sightseeing, bad for restaurants
Great location if you want to be super close to the Forum/Colosseum area, but avoid the nearby restaurants which are all tourist traps. The hotel itself was comfortable and clean, though the rooftop bar had very slow service and stale bar snacks.

No hair conditioner provided and the elevators are obnoxious and annoying at best, but the staff is super helpful and friendly and the location is pretty perfect, so all things considered a great place to stay!
