Perfect!
My family and I enjoyed our stay here a lot. We are a family of four and the accommodations worked out perfectly. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be the parking. We had a rental and we were told their parking lot was full so we had to park on the street. Luckly we found a spot right in front of the hotel.

5 night trip
We arrived in Munich by train and it initially took us 20 mins to navigate out of the station, across cobbled paths with our suitcases to make it to the Arthotel. The steps and the awkward slope made dragging our suitcases up the few stairs a sad sight. It would have made the world of difference to have had some help instead of just being watched. During our stay the staff were pleasant and helpful when asked. As discovered in other German hotels, kettles are not included in the room. The breakfast was more than adequate and very popular. Scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and bacon. Cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Breads, coffee and tea. I could only see cows milk as an option. The glass shelving immediately above the toilet was good for a head bump. 1 Key given for a room with 3 people. We had a triple room and it was a very tight fit. We could not open the fridge door more than 45 degrees because of the fold out bed. The double bed needed to be separated, all three pillows were completely different. Staff happily gave us extra pillows when asked. The main train station being so close is definitely a selling point of this hotel although there are many other hotels in the area. From the train station you can take advantage of travelling around Munich or further. It is the best one to be next to! The amount of food option there is also enormous. This hotel was overall great value if you want cleanliness, close to transport and an excellent breakfast included...oh and art work to look at!

Arthotel Munich --- good value for the money
The property is excellently located, a short five minute walk from the main train station, closer to ten minutes if you get stuck at the multiple pedestrian crossings. The area around the hotel can appear a bit seedy, but we felt safe everywhere we strolled. Check-in was swift, but we found the front desk staff aloof and not very pleasant. We accessed the front desk on other occasions, when other employees were working, and the staff was friendlier. In fact, they graciously extended our check out an extra hour to accommodate our train departure, and that was much appreciated. Breakfast is nice, although the breakfast room is a bit small. If the hotel is fully occupied, finding a table may be a problem. There was a reasonable variety of breads, meats, cheeses and fruits. The breakfast staff was very friendly. We stayed in the annex, and the room, despite being the smallest one advertised, was plenty spacious for two. We even separated the beds to provide additional space. The beds aren't the most comfortable, but we've certainly had worse. The bathroom had a full shower and sink. Additional towel and hanging rods would've been nice. Although the hotel represented that it provides bathroom soaps, etc., it was dispensed from a squeeze bottle that was inconvenient, low quality and dried out the hands. Had we known, we would've brought our own along. In general, we liked this property, and the minor complaints are offset by the convenience and moderate price. We'd stay here again.

Not to nitpick but, only one pillow per bed was provided and, not very good ones either, other than that, the hotel is very good and clean.

Comfortable and convenient
This was a great hotel for our time in Munich. Close enough to walk everywhere and comfortable and clean. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

4 nights in December. The wooden floors in the rooms and the tiled corridor passages made for a very noisy stay. Breakfast was great. Check-in and out was smooth.

One Night Prior to Train Trip
Great experience at Arthotel. Flew in from the States so we arrived to the hotel 4 hours before check-in. We were able to leave our bags while we walked around the city before check-in at 2pm. Desk associates were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious!! The hotel is walking distance to the train station (5 minutes).

Very good hotel in convenient location
Excellent hotel for the budget-conscious traveller. Very good location, only 5 minutes walk from the main railway station. The room was simply furnished but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was well-presented with a good selection of items. Hotel bar and foyer area was comfortable and interestingly furnished with quirky artworks. Staff at reception and bar were friendly and efficient.
