Not the best choice for me....
The hotel does not offer bellhop service to help with bags. Only two SMALL elevators that are very slow don't help. There is not a restaurant/cafe where you can sit down for a meal, only a "Market Cafe" to buy coffee/sandwich/water and that closes at 8pm. Very inconvenient if you arrive in the evening, hungry from a flight. The Bar offers "nibbles", but VERY pricy and inadequate. Staff was courteous for the most part, but brusque. The in-room heater was VERY noisy when it kicked on and woke me several times during the nights. The room itself was large enough and pleasant, but the bathroom is VERY small, and the lighting HORRIBLE to try and put on makeup. Housekeeping staff was *very* nice, however, when I left one morning at 9 am they were two doors away, and when I came back at 4pm my room still wasn't touched. I told her it was alright, that she could skip me; just wanted some fresh towels. The housekeeper came right in, changed out the towels, wiped down the counter, and insisted on straightening the sheets. She was a doll. Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to friends.

Great Location, overall satisfied.
The location is great; you are close enough to all of the sites in Times Square, but you can also stroll around and check out some of the cool restaurants on 8th and 9th avenues. The bar area has a laid back vibe and friendly bartenders. There is a decent fitness center on the 3rd floor and a cafe in the lobby for coffee and other things. There are three computers in the lobby that allow you 15 minutes of use for free, which is perfect to check in for your flight and print your boarding pass when it is time to go home.... wi-ifi is also complimentary. The room was clean and very importantly, the bed was comfortable . My only complaints are 1. The room was a little too dimly lit... it was nice, but the option to have more light would have been helpful. 2. The ice machine (at least on the 9th floor) was out of ice for a good bit of my stay (I was there for 11 nights). And lastly, my biggest gripe... they charged a $50 a day “facilities” fee, but then remove a portion when you check out. So my credit card was charged $550 on top of the nightly room charge. They subtracted $178, but I still wound up paying $371 extra for this facilities fee. I thought the hotel WAS the facility I was already paying for. So much for the “free” wi-fi and computer use.

Terrible customer service
From the moment me and my boyfriend pulled up to the front of the hotel, we were guided by the bellhop and was provided a luggage cart, handed a parking stub for our car. Told us that we have 15 to 20 minutes to settle and either go back to the car or have it be parked for 24 hrs from the time we check in to the same time the next day. We were astonished by this and asked multiple employees of the hotel to be sure that we could leave our car there overnight. Next day, we check out of the hotel in an hour early but had to wait 40 mins for bellhop to take our luggage and store it. We tried to call the concierge multiple times from our hotel room but each time we were calling it had a busy tone & wouldnt connect. Only when we had to dial the hotel number manually we were able to get a hold of a customer service representative. we had to call twice to remind them that we needed a bellhop to have a luggage cart. A few hours later we come back for our luggage and confirm our check out and to retrieve our car from the lot. The lady employee then told us we owed $75 for parking our car in that lot. We explained to her that we were never quoted any price. We told the manager that we understand there is always a parking fee, but thought parking was included at the hotel. If we had known this we would have taken the train and walked. Even after telling the manager that we had no knowledge, he doesn't offer any discount or future voucher. All they care about is money not the customers.

Staff were not customer oriented
Upon arrival to the hotel for the first time we in error went to the concierge to check in and the staff member curtly said "The line is over there" pointing and in a corrective manner. We had dealt with some pretty horrible traffic coming from Washington DC that day. It was unfortunate that after a tiring trip our greeting at the hotel was lack luster and not welcoming. We had booked (or thought we booked) a one night stay. When leaving early the next evening my husband picked up the checked bags (we vacated the room well before check out) he attained the bill and questioned why we were charged for 2 nights. The manager said that that was what you booked. The staff managers (Sandy and Elizabeth) were not sympathetic or empathetic about the error but and said since the hotel booking was through a third party there was nothing they could do. I understand this was not the hotel error, but the staff do not know how to deal with difficult situations. They could have said they were very sorry this happened and that we should call the third party. It was much easier to say not our problem. You felt like since you did not book directly with the hotel you were a second class (if even that) customer.Did not feel valued This is unfortunate, I was happy with the hotel and our daughter being a first year law student I was looking for a place that was convention to the college and nice. The sterile attitude of your managers and staff make another staff very improbable

Great location. Hotel is fine. Not great.
Well, my feelings are mixed about this place. Definitely nothing special. Nice enough. Lobby is open and large. We arrived rather late at night, so no issues with waiting to check in. The man who checked us in was new (he told us that when we asked a specific question about the rooms) and very friendly and attempted to be helpful. He was the only one who was the rest of our stay. I usually don't care much how friendly the front desk is because my dealings with them are limited. But a couple of the front desk staff were so cold it was almost funny. I asked a question about a nearby subway line and she told me "I'm not the concierge" and slapped a map up on the desk. (There was no one in line and they were not busy) Oh well...whatever! Rooms were okay. Beds very comfortable. We paid for the "Premium" city view double rooms ( we had 3 rooms by the way) Definitely not a view I would call premium. Looked at an office building on 56th street...10th floor. Fortunately not in our rooms very much. The room was clean. The bathroom good, except for the bath products in the big bottles in the shower. Not a fan of this. You have to call and request anything else you want/need like shower cap, or lotion, coffee maker, refrigerator etc. Overall, you won't love it or hate it. The location is this hotel's best asset.
