A few notes: Upon return home, our entire party suffered from intestinal (bathroom) issues. We tried to keep to bottled water. Not sure if it was the food or the ice in the drinks. It felt like in the restaurants, they lacked training and processes to help them succeed. It also felt like the staff was battling for their jobs or scared if they made a mistake that they would lose their job. They are clearly not trained in how to deal with customers. If you lose or take off your bracelet, they give you at check-in, they will charge you $75 to replace it. You won’t be served without one. All reservations (transportation or meals) are a crap shoot. Keep your email confirmations. Expect a longer experience at all restaurants. Beds are very hard They ran out of Crown, certain types of Voda and Pepsi (they don’t have coke) throughout the resort Pina Colada’s are not very flavorful None of the employees feel empowered to satisfy a customer. Everyone is always looking over their shoulder and scared to make a decision. Every restaurant we were in (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) we heard a tray of glasses fall and break. You can still have fun here, depending on who you go with, but don’t expect the resort experience to help in that fun.

BEWARE! Shouldn't have been open yet!!
Give this place another year because they are not ready! List of things not working or running when we arrived AC! (had to get someone to come and then hours later it finally came on) bowling alley, jets in tubs, some elevators, Eden pools (the adult pools), plugs on left side of the bathroom sink, toilet screaming at one point for 3 mins, water stopped working, emergency evacuation lights and announcement came on and everyone went nuts only for the staff to be like "what, everything is fine" and still no explanation as to what happened & water slides didn't work (until the last day I was there and i have a theory on why all of a sudden they opened) FYI you have to make reservations at the crack of dawn for the restaurants at night and if they are sold out by 10am, then you're out of luck and only get the buffet which is not impressive. Forget the breakfast buffet, order room service. Plus, they do not tell you that not all the restaurants aren't open every day. So only like two might be open one day, then maybe 4 the next day. We only got to eat at one due to being lucky 800 people checked out on a monday and there was space. AND the pool closes at 6pm, SIX!! ALL of this needs to be listed on the website. Extremely disappointing. For the most part at the least the staff was friendly but they didn't know how to answer any questions, and talking to the manager was a joke. All he did was make excuses or try to say we were wrong. Working on getting my money back.

This new property is still working out the kinks. Great service. Food is just ok. Toro was great. Zen was fun for our kids. Shows were a bit cheesy. The Michael Jackson show was very good. Our hotel room got cleaned at different hours and it was hit or miss with there service. We ran out of shampoo twice as it wasn’t checked. Housekeeping came in when my kids were sleeping even with the do not disturb sign up. That scared them enough to text and call us while we were out. Skip the club membership sales pitch. Too high pressure for us. It’s a $35 cab ride into town, Uber is $7.50 to get you back. They have Uber! The pools get crowded so get there at 9 or so. We got calls to our room everyday with no one one the other end. Someone from the hotel made an appointment with my husband to hear his opinion. My husband showed up and the restaurant they were to meet at was closed. No call to cancel. No apology. You can’t make dinner reservations over the phone. Instead you have to go down a floor and do them in person. Enough of the bad. Now for the good. It’s new. Rudy Santana at Los Gallos, Castillo, Jorge and Fiji at the Pool were awesome servers! The gym and Rock shop are great. The all Inclusive is super convenient. Tip your servers! They work hard. This place has construction still going on and will have its grand opening in October. This is the first not so great review I’ve written ever :(. Wish I would have booked the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach,

The property is brand new, clean and quite impressive in stature. Located on the Pacific coast, 30 min ride from airport. Beach property, but you are not allowed in the ocean (strong undercurrents). No sun beds or umbrellas on beach (deserted). Not my idea of a beach holiday! The staff are friendly and polite, but unfortunately not fully trained up to the standard as advertised. We had 4 reservations for evening meals during our 4 night stay. 2 we made ourselves & 2 through our concierge (who verbally confirmed they were booked). The 2 through the concierge were not communicated to the appropriate personnel, so therefore we had to negotiate a new date for one restaurant and eat elsewhere. Then we had to 'fight' for a table at our other 'booked' reservation, which after several phone calls and waiting outside the restaurant, we were seated 30 mins after our allotted reservation. We were approached by 'guest rescue' personnel and offered compensation, but this seemed scripted and was very impersonal. We were awoken every morning by the hotel room telephone informing us of breakfast and activities for that day. Intrusive and aggravating! 'Express' checkout took 15 minutes...Plenty of room for improvement. Communication is key here. Polite and friendly staff gets you so far but, I just want the end product, which was unfortunately missing on this occasion. Maybe I'll come back at a later date, but just an okay experience for me...7/10

Very good 8.0
I went when this location hadn't had their grand opening so they still have a few tweaks to make. The food and drinks were great, as good or better than any other all inclusive I've been. Views and pool are great, rooms are huge and modern. Room service was top notch, and staff was very cheerful. Downsides: Can't go in the ocean at the hotel, current is too strong, pools close as dusk (really Hard Rock doesn't have a pool open at 9pm??), there's a VIP pool but no signs that say itd only for VIPs. Guest policy is confusing, gate security said no problem, customer service inside was more concerned with finding out why are guests were let in, instead of finding a resolution. It's clear they are newly opened because as nice as staff was, they often can't answer a question outside of their position, i.e. when does the restaurant open for dinner, where is the club, etc.
