Honest review of the hotel and experience
Do not book this hotel if your balcony is gonna be facing the street as you won't sleep. Downtown Cancun is loud and the balcony didn't shut properly. Also don't book it through Hotels.com as they said it comes with free breakfast. However when we went down to get our breakfast the next day they refused to give it to us as we didn't book it with the hotel directly. It was so frustrating upsetting and embarrassing. We had a long journey the night before and just wanted to enjoy a nice relaxing breakfast. Half hour on the phone to hotels.com and live chat and we got a partial refund. So stingey this hotel with their breakfast most of it went to waste anyway as no one was even there. The only good thing about this hotel was the use of the gym next to rooftop pool. It's not the best view over Cancun but still a nice place to wait after you have checked out. They give you a toothbrush if you forget yours and store your luggage for you.

The convenience of proximity to bus station is the biggest positive for this hotel. Once again as i have read before there always is a problem with breakfast as in not included!! I specifically picked a hotel for breakfast included and says so on there information and the gentleman explains to me that they forgot to put a surcharge is required. No empathy at all maybe because it happens all the time ??? They are building next door so noisy and this place is outdated but it does have a roof deck with a wading pool and 4 recliners and a bunch of tables under a roof with a view...if you are a sun worshipping person not much room very tight...this space is under utilized. If you're looking to take a bus downtown this is a good resting spot for 1 night . The hotel is located in what seems to be an alley you would never know its there and there is no bell service so carry your bags up the stairs to hotel and to your room. And before I for get didn't eat there the selections weren't even that good to argue about the 20 dollar fee...Sanborn right down the block..

Our first day was disaster, the house keeper forced to enter our room after nobody open the door at 10am. We didn’t ask to clean the room as we are still sleeping. Second day was even worse, the inconsiderate staff started rearranging big sofas at 6:30am at the lobby/mezzanine at the main floor (we are at the 1st floor) imagine waking up again by slamming chairs and tables and dragging sofas!!!

This is a good hotel, the views from the pool are amazing and the restaurant near the lobby is incredibly convenient. It's located downtown so there are lots of spots nearby like clubs, supermarkets, malls e.t.c. Some things to note are some amenities that are not in the room (blowdryer, microwave, only 1 mirror which is in the bathroom). Also, the water pressure can be a little unpredictable so hot water is definitely not guaranteed. The taxi system is kind of weird as they stop running at different times and can be difficult to get to some locations. Make sure to have WhatsApp and a translator app handy if you do not speak spanish as is it is the only way to communicate. The prices for the food are all in pesos so be ready to do some conversions if you only have USD but that's to be expected in Mexico. Might also be cheaper to book activities or excursions independently but that all ranges with different agents and places. Overall, amazing service, nice staff and enjoyable experience.
