Pomeroy Hotel Fort McMurray

I will stay here every time I am back in town.

Very impressive new hotel. Clean and quiet, close proximity to all amenities. Definitely recommend it to everyone. Our new favourite place to stay in Fort McMurray.

We loved this hotel, it was the nicest we’ve stayed at in Fort Mcmurray! It is modern and clean and well-located. My rating would be higher but there were several issues throughout our stay: 1. Nobody at reception - the two times I presented at reception there was just nobody there, no bell to ring for service, no indication of how to make oneself known. Both times I waited for several minutes before saying “hello?” I eventually had to yell “hello?” and someone appeared, but they barely acknowledged the challenge of having nobody available at reception. This was challenging as both times I presented at reception were fairly time sensitive and I had my child waiting for me. 2. The microwave in our suite blew out - this happened late at night with microwaveable popcorn in the microwave. I called the front desk in the morning and they offered to have the dead microwave “switched out” with a functioning one. Over an hour later, an unmasked hotel worker just plopped a new microwave in the middle of the counter, left the broken one in place, and walked out of our room. It was a strange and unsatisfactory experience. 3. Harsh detergents - I have semi-sensitive skin but this usually does not bother me at hotels. However, at this hotel I developed contact dermatitis from the sheets and towels. Ouch! 4. Disrepair - the room was beautiful and clean, but had several items in disrepair, like a towel rack that had come off the wall and chips in the tub.

Very friendly - super clean and modern. Underground heated parking was great in the snow!

Stayed for three nights ( last night was extended due to change of flights) Poor front desk reception. Checking on October 10th, and October 12th I had issues. First, the front desk agent was rude and dismissive, and my last check in, the gentleman suddenly refused my CC ( which was a surprise beyond me as I’ve been travelling with the same credit card with no issues also at other pomeroy properties previously) This whole rechecking in process took more than 10 minutes. First he tried holding $500, then $139 ( when I asked he said he checked the wrong box, whatever that means) then finally said “ next time don’t use this card” I stayed away from pomeroy chains since my last bad experience With front desk at the location in GP, For a company who prides themselves on exceptional customer services, your front desk experiences have been less than welcoming. I am very upset, annoyed and will definitely not be coming back. Definitely the nicest hotel in fort McMurray. Bed is very springy but room is spacious. Poor customer service, not worth the $$$.

Extended stay. Poor customer service . Won’t be staying with this chain again

New build. Clean, comfortable and loads of room. Unexpectedly space and lots of room for work or entertaining. Comfortable and clean. Great value for the price.

Very clean and comfortable, looks like its fairly new. Customer service A++ - friendly staff and very helpful.

New Hotel so everything is in good shape. They also have underground parking which is a plus as well
