Finally made it to KL after the pandemic lockdowns, and I have to say that deciding to try EQ was the best choice we could have made. The brand-spanking-new building somehow manages to feel like a real luxury getaway while also being situated right in the heart of the city. It was amazingly convenient to arrange to meet business partners at the bistro downstairs and then catch up with friends at the open-air rooftop bar after!
(Spoiler alert: there is also a gorgeous, intimate little speakeasy on the 51st floor that has live music performances-MUST go.)
Aside from the spectacular sunset skyline panoramic combo that the 51st floor offered, I spent the most time on the 29th floor enjoying the gym with all the equipment, punching bags and more, and unwinding in the Himalayan salt sauna.
Our room felt open and spacious with quality furnishings and bedding. Slept very well; despite the city noises and the floor-to-ceiling windows, there was no noise pollution, probably because the hotel floors are quite high up. In the day time natural light poured in, and at night the room was well-lit. The automatic black-out blinds could be raised and lowered at the touch of a button, there were ample charger sockets / power outlets, and of course the bathroom was fully stocked with all the expected amenities.
From beginning to end, our stay was a great experience, especially thanks to the warm and wonderful staff who took care of our every need. Thank you EQ!
