10/10 minus high street noise
Very good on all front. The only thing is it is really noisy on the street few feet from the room. They do provide earplugs.

Great birthday weekend
Great hotel situated right in the heart of temple bar. The team at the hotel were helpful & polite. Rooms very comfortable. Easily commutable to ‘key’ places to see & do. TOP TIP: We had a fabulous couple of days, but if you’re looking for a quite location temple bar may not be the place for you.

Too expensive for level of comfort/service
The receptionist was a trainee, but even with this in mind, her behavior was unwelcoming. We weren’t expecting fanfare, but had visited Dublin twice before and stayed in hostels. The employees there made it a point to see if we had questions, give us some local recommendations, etc. As this was an expensive hotel, the level of service paled in comparison. It seemed like the receptionist couldn’t wait for us to leave her alone. We chose to stay near Temple Bar, so this one’s on us, but the level of noise in our room made it impossible to sleep. The frustrating thing was – the noise from Temple Bar wasn’t bad. However, the adjoining restaurant (Buskers), which seems to be run in conjunction with the hotel, was blasting music until very late at night. Our room was vibrating from the noise… and we were on the top floor. Still, it could have been a decent stay. But at 3 or 4 in the morning (after the Buskers madness finally quieted), our fire alarm started going off. Concerned, we called the front desk. Instead of addressing our worries, they cut us off with an irritated – “Yes, we KNOW it’s going off, someone was smoking on the fire escape stairs.” Okay, good for you that you know, but sheesh. What a rude response… your guests would probably also like to be aware that there’s no fire. We love Dublin and will be visiting in the future… but with so many lovely hostels which offer free breakfast and private rooms, I think we’ll stay away from the “fancy” establishments.

Firstly we had to change rooms on arrival as someone had recently had a shower in there and left dirty towels on the floor. The room we were then given was a lot smaller than I had paid for. As it was quite late at night we let it go. When we were checking out the lady on reception was very rude and clearly had no time for us. Even answered the phone whilst I was talking to her, requesting a taxi to the airport. As we found out later the taxi wasn’t actually booked. Very disappointing.

Wonderful Stay in Dublin
I'm really glad that while we were in Dublin that we stayed at the Temple Bar Hotel. The staff was very courteous, the room was very clean and spacious. The location was perfect, too. When we decide to head back to Dublin in the future, we will most definitely be booking our hotel stay there again.

Very good location close to many attractions. We had a wonderful stay during the Christmas Holidays. Bea (Beatriz) at the front desk was very pleasant and professional. Her friendly demeanor helped to make our stay a memorable one. Also Marija at the restaurant provided us with excellent service. We will definitely be back to the Temple Bar Hotel and will recommend the hotel to our large network of friends and family when visiting Dublin. Thanks to all!!!!! J. Mujica New Orleans, LA USA

Lovely stay for me and my boyfriend. The bathrooms could do with an update since it is quite an expensive place to stay. Thanks so much!

No frills!
This is definitely a no-frills hotel. The room was quite basic and there was a lingering, damp, musty smell about it. Along with the rest of the hotel's occupants I imagine, wake up time was shortly after 5am to the hotel's fire alarm so I really needed a coffee to start my day's work. No self-service tea/coffee in the room though so if I wanted one I needed to grab one from the push-button machine in reception. I soon realised though that you are charged extra per each individual tea/coffee to even use this machine. The final touch was check out time when I requested a minimal check out extension. Unusually, this was greeted with something verging on sneering / sarcasm from the lady who was reception manager for that shift, in addition to the opportunity to incur a significant extra charge for the added half hour to an hour in the room. I have never come across this. By and large, I find that any fair requests for a small extension to check out are greeted with at least some effort at a reasonable compromise from the hotel. From my experience of this hotel: plenty of better options around the city for less money. I won't be staying again.
