Great Staff & Accommodations - a few snags though
Our junior park suite was delightful. I appreciated all of the details, the view, swiveling TV that could be used in the living or bedroom. The staff was so very kind and attentive. Mustapha remembered that I was there to surprise my husband for his birthday and was kind enough to tell him HBD when hubs arrived for the first time. I was shocked by the manner in which the concierge alerted me that only hotel guests could book spa reservations -- might want to find a canned approach to this so it doesn't sound like you're reading my class based on my attire or appearance. The couples massage was eh - just okay. Way too much for anything less than an exquisite experience. My husband's was pretty good, but min was lackluster. We did have issues connecting my husband's gaming console to the internet which was a bummer because that was a part of his birthday suprise, however, the staff did try really hard (and several times) to resolve the issue for us. They ultimately decided to comp a bottle of wine for our troubles and we used our phone as a mobile hotspot so he could do his thing. All in all, I would stay here again!

Where’s the book?
This was a very disappointing stay. The setup in the room was not what we are use to. The lights were all controlled by 2 panels and the heat control was a little different. This would not have been an issue if there were instructions in the room but there we could not find any. When we called the desk asking where the instructions were, we were told it was in a leather bound book on the desk. Trust me when I tell you there was no book. They did send one up and soon we had figured out how to work things. Great. I was fighting a slight cold and so was using up the tissues in the room. No problem as we all know the hotel will repleanish supplies, correct? Nope. Empty box of tissue was not replaced. We used the coffee maker in the morning. The coffee was restocked but not the cups. Do we drink the coffee from our hands? Also, no new glassware. But the kicker had to be that the was no backup roll of toilet paper. Great! You guessed it. We had to call to get more. Ugh! We will not be staying here again anytime soon. Oh by the way, we ate ate the Blue Duck when we arrived and my wife was served raw chicken. That should have served as a warning.!

I made a breakfast included reservation in this hotel. Breakfast is in alacarte restaurant. In the morning, I asked the waitress, what is included for me in the breakfast, she told me that yıu can pick anything you want from the menu. But when I finished the breakfast, they told me that I should pay the amount exceeding 40 dollars. In the check-in, I also have not been informed that the breakfast is up to 40 dollars. When I asked the receptionist about this, she told me only that they are sorry. I have never experienced such a thing. If it says breakfast included, then you do not have to pay anything. If it has limits you should inform the customer. So be careful when choosing a breakfast-included room in this hotel, because breakfast is not really included.

Birthday weekend
We took out duaghter to D.C. For her Bday. I called ahead and they made arrangements to have a Birthday cake and chilled Sparkling cider upon arrival. The room was also a corner room which she loved! The deep bath was a treat with scented salt. The rain shower was very powerful and love that bath and shower are separate. We had separate living area in the junior suite which made it very apealing. The pool and hot tub area were not that impressive for 5 star hotel. No changing rooms, showers, etc....Also had breakfast at restaurant but was very disappointed. Ordered pancakes and received one for $18. Left breakfast hungry. Would recommend breakfast elsewhere unless you don't mind spending $50 for a filling meal. Overall had a great experience with room. So close to metro and walk to Georgetown. Not a hoppy by bar area but we wanted a quiet area.

The overall experience was wonderful. Cant say anything other than near perfection, especially guest services. One thing i wish i had known before is that the pool in underwhelming at best. The hotel presents the salt water pool as a staple of the amenities. But honestly, its neglected, uninviting, and even creepy. Id say to just eliminate.it all together. We were very disappointed and felt duped. This was not even close to what was presented in the photos. Bottom line: if a pool is important to you this is not the place for you.
