Good place but over priced. Review the room pics!
As a beginning I have to say that the location takes all. We booked the Deluxe room, on Hotels.com site we could see plenty of pictures (12 to be specific) which shows apparently all the hotel's room types. But, we see these pictures and we've decided to book the hotel. The pictures showed a big room with a living room and a bedroom. 3 pictures shows that kinda "suite" or Deluxe room. We've arrived to the hotel and got a really nice room but guess what... a regular room. I came down to the reception and met the Front office manager who was there and told him that we booked the room that we see on the pictures. Instead of giving a good servise he decided to argue and to explain that Hotels.com is a third party agent and the hotel is not responsible for the info or pics. Here comes out that I'm hotelier for more than 15 years and for sure, the hotel add the pics or any other info. He sent me back to the room after I asked him to connect me with the GM. His first answer was: sorry he is on a phone call till late (ohh really? And even doesn't checked). After 10 min in the room he called me and said: we will upgrade you. So yes, they think it's upgrade, but it's not. That's the room we booked. The room or "suite" we got was kinda the worst suite in the hotel. But still... ok Carpet condition was BAD, stains all over. Bed is ot comfortable at all. For more than 200 usd per night at winter time this hotel should to better! Shame.

Great location and hotel!
My son and I visited Boston and stayed here for four days this past weekend. The location is absolutely perfect to walk everywhere. We walked to the North End(6 min) for dinner and Mike's Pastries several times. We walked to the harbor(17min) to see the tall ships come in and then visit the Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum. We walked to Boston Commons( 11 min) to take a tour of the Freedom Trail. Faunueil Hall and Quincy Market are right acorss the street. There is a Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks close by. The hotel is only 1.7 miles from the airport and a 10 minute drive to Cambridge. Our standard room was clean and perfectly appointed. Our window looked out onto the valet turnaround so our room was quiet. But I did hear other guests complaining about being closer to Union Street which is full of loud, fun bars. Make sure you tell them you want a room facing away from that street. There is no ice machine so we had to have ice brought up for a $4 charge. No big deal. They have a nice restaurant attached and they provide the room service. We ate lobster dinners one night and it was very good and reasonably priced. The room service was yummy and quick turnaround. It is very easy to grab an Uber to go to Cambridge or the airport. We highly recommend this hotel and will come back next time we visit Boston.

Retirement party
Great time!!!!!! Desk staff very helpful. Restaurant is convenient, but needs some help, couldn't handle a party of 10 for breakfast. We sat in the section behind the bar and we were the only party back their. The waitress was of foreign nationality and tried to tell us what our kids were capable of eating!!!!! She finally got what we were saying and brought what the kids wanted!!!!! 2 in our party ordered oatmeal with brown sugar. The oatmeal came out but no brown sugar, by the time she brought it the oatmeal was cold. So we asked her to just reheat it, she didn't understand, kept saying I'll bring you a new bowl. No forget it, we will eat cold oatmeal!!!!!!! One night 14 of us decided to go into the bar section of the restaurant. 6 went in about 30 minutes before us because they wanted to eat dinner. When the 8 of us showed up we asked if we could have the tables pushed together next to them and said we only wanted drinks. You would have thought we asked her ( I'm thinking the night manager) to rebuild the place!!!!! She starts clearing the table of silver and cups like a mad women, really kinda funny. Then we appeared o be in her way so 2 of our group decided to sit down on the booth part of the table out of the way!!!! Well she lost it, she stormed past the rest of us and commented to us that she was doing the best that she could and we could have waited? We thought we were helping by having 2 get out of her way!!!!!! She came flying back past us with a young man to hel

Nice hotel in a great location
We stayed at The Bostonian on a weekend visit to Boston. The location can't be beat, literally across the street from the attractions at Faneuil Hall, State House and Marketplace. The Aquarium and waterfront were less than a 5 minute walk. I mentioned on the booking that we were celebrating an anniversary. We found a plate of fruit and a bottle of champagne in our room when we came back in the evening. That was a very nice bonus. Otherwise the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property was very well kept, clean and nicely decorated. Most rooms have big windows and a very small balcony. It was nice to have the ability to open the doors and get fresh air. On our first night we had guests in a nearby room who were very loud into the early AM. I asked for a room change the next day and the front desk accommodated that request without a problem. Overall, I found the hotel to be noisy, even after our room change, you could hear toilets flushing and doors slamming all the time. Maybe its just the construction of the building. Lastly, we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and found it to be more expensive than expected. A basic diner like breakfast for 2, cost nearly $50.

girls weekend in boston
The hotel was pretty perfect for our girls weekend in Boston. We had double beds which was a little tight for two girls and the price for water bottles in the room was super high but the room was spacious and clean. Our door didn't close right and we ended up sleeping with our door open one night without even knowing it. I forgot my contact case and luckily the hotel was able to provide me with one, for the price of $12. I could have bought 12 contact cases for $12 but thats what you get when you forget to pack one. The location was perfect. We will stay at the Bostonian again because of the location alone. The hotel concierge took care of our bags before the room was ready and after we checked out. Everyone was very nice. Another great perk is the attached bar. Its gorgeous and clean and me and my group began and ended our nights at that bar. The bartenders were great and we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend the hotel, just remember your contact case and buy a few bottles of water at 7-eleven!!
