Very nice property but it is showing it’s age and wear. The staff is pleasant but is not welcoming. (Possible covid period holdover.) The breakfast was mediocre at best and we would recommend skipping it.

Good location, but feeling old and dated
This is an old 4 star hotel for sure and in need of refurbishment and a general uplift to make it feel more welcoming. Clearly aimed at the overseas transit tourist through Rotorua its price doesn’t justify the quality of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was basic and expresso based coffee came at an extra charge. Dinner is over by 8:30pm in line with most of the local restaurants so make sure you plan dinner! On the plus side it’s well located in the centre of town and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Very over priced for what you get. The hallway right outside the room door had a very powerful smell of mould. The room was very, very dated and even the hot water jug was very old and cheap (and broken).

Would not recommend this hotel. Rooms are cluttered, dated, and extremely hot with inefficient air con. Service disappointing and hotel was reluctant to honour VIP benefits. Would not stay at this hotel again
