Long Weekend in San Francisco
Great location with on-street parking available on weekend, when city rules are relaxed. Hotel breakfast was barely adequate. No yogurt or healthy bread and only a minimal selection of mass market cereal (raisin bran and what, appeared to be cornflakes). Only one side of the bed had a reading lamp and that was harshly unshaded. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The Queen Anne is more like the Princess Anne.
The stay was "OK", the room has no air, not even a portable fan, so it was pretty warm. Only one window opened, so it didn't provide much breeze. I like the overall style of the hotel, it has some nice older furniture and wood work, but unfortunately it's pretty tired. The breakfast area was extremely tired, finishes looked like they were a mix of original and then 1980's gone bad. And the tchotchkes in that area were kind of strange, out of place, and dirty/dusty. The included breakfast was average, something you would expect at a place advertising continental breakfast, nothing more. The staff were nice, parking exists but it's expensive, and the location is fairly easy to get to.

Ups and Downs
The hotel tries to be a nice Victorian Hotel ... but still has some work to do. The highlight of our stay was the wonderful lady at the front desk, Dao (sorry if misspelled!). She was very helpful in making recommendations and had a wonderful demeanor. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was average at best. We had one front desk staffer tell my wife she was too busy to help recommend a restaurant (she was looking at papers instead), had to wait 4 hours for a pre-requested crib for my daughter (and when the crib arrived, it did so without a mattress...had to wait another 90 minutes for that), and the continental breakfast is only available for 2 hours (7 - 9 on weekdays) which makes for a very rushed morning. Overall, it was an average at best stay; not great, not awful.

A Classic Hotel in the Middle of San Francisco
Stayed here for a couple nights while on tour. The staff was extremely courteous to us even though we definitely didn't look like their average guest. They let us park our van in a well lit spot right by the hotel to help ensure that it remains safe. They also held onto a package that we had to ship there before our arrival The hotel is very old school with victorian esque design and had a very nice sitting areas in both the room and around the lobby. Standard fare as far as breakfast goes but it was good nonetheless. The hotel is located very close to Chinatown which we took full advantage of. You are a short walk or Uber to just about anywhere from this hotel. A huge advantage.

A Beautiful Gem
Lovely Victorian, housing a boutique hotel. Friendly staff, quiet neighborhood, not in downtown San Francisco but close enough to enjoy town and far enough away to sleep at night. Hotel is full of beautiful antique furniture and stained glass windows. Sherry and home made cookies each afternoon and nice breakfast each morning. Will stay again and highly recommend this hotel.
