It's a beautiful hotel in a great location. It was built in approximately 1912 and the Staypineapple group have completely renovated it. The bar is amazing and the room is very comfortable although small.
Great hotel! Just at night its really loud from people at a club until 2am. Also my wifi wasn’t working which wouldn’t have been a bit deal until someone at the front desk gave me a major attitude about watching to help me.

Wonderful staff, super clean, we had a comfortable and quiet night's sleep, and the hotel is brilliantly updated while honoring the boutique history and feel. Great area to catch the cable cars that are just a few blocks away near Union Square. Downtown in SF of course has its characters but the hotel was very helpful and friendly and provided great information, directions and advice. We went on a mother-daughter (she's 10 yrs old) trip to the city and we would go back in a heartbeat!
The rooms are small but very nice. The service was quite mediocre. At check in I kept having to ask questions or tell the gentleman what I needed rather than him offering the information or being proactively helpful. Within minutes of checking in the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building, again the employees were not helpful in assisting guests.
