OK but not excellent
Hotel room was fine but un-inspiring, the room was obviously a bit dated. The best thing was the view over the Marina for which we had elected to pay extra. It was the middle of winter and there was a quilt on the bed which was far too hot so needed to ask for a sheet and then we had to dispense with the quilt to use the quilt cover (have found this is a common problem in hotels). The “breakfast included” in the room tariff was NOT what we expected from staying at a Shangri-la. A $10 bowl of cereal and under-ripe fruit was a big disappointment. This issue, when bought to the manager’s attention, was because of Covid-19. Yes I understand that buffets are out of the question but this is hardly a replacement. Part of the holiday experience is in the enjoyment of a nice relaxed breakfast and real coffee - not from a dispenser!

Not a 5 star hotel
Stayed for 5 nights with a friend during our trip around Australia, we treated ourselves and booked the Shangri-La as our luxury stay of the trip, so we were very disappointed with the hotel. Cleaning throughout could have been better, especially in the rooms, we also had an ant problem in our room, had to ask twice before someone came to spray the affected area. Pool area was nice but i do think sunbed cushions should be put away overnight and when it rains as finding a dry one after 2 days of rain wasn't easy. Staff polite and helpful. Overall overpriced and not a five star hotel.

Good location for a long weekend
Great location, room size great, view was amazing, bathroom a little tired and bed a little too hard. Service was pleasant, they missed cleaning our room despite it being available to clean all day whilst we were out but they tried to remedy once aware.

Lovely hotel. Most comfortable bed and pillows. Large room. Had a fantastic view of the marina. Location of tv made it difficult to watch from the bed or lounge. I love staying here. Will be back.

The location is perfect staff are very helpful. My other half was dehydrated on the last morning I went to sèe the reception and they let us have the room till 16:30 which was great and gave her time to recover. Thanks for a great stay. Vinny

Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Everything ticked all the boxes. During one of the evenings my TV kept losing signal & Wifi was intermittent but I was told that it wasn’t the hotel’s fault but a problem in the area. Staff were very pleasant & food was good but BBQ was disappointing
