Firstly the following msg was sent to the hotel via Expedia and they did not bother to respond. The toilet cistern ballcock is defective and water runs into the toilet bowl all night. This in turn empties the cistern and thus water runs VERY loudly through the pipes keeping me wake all night. I turned the tap off that feeds the cistern and discovered it is leaking. The floor around the toiled is soaking wet. I suspect the room next to mine is the same as the noisy water sound through the walls happened all night. Also the hot tap in the bathroom sink is extremely loose. This is dangerous if it were to come off at the base and thus hot water would gush everywhere. There was insufficient bed linen to keep warm. The duvet is summer weight. Whilst there is an electric blanket it is dangerous to sleep with one on all night. The window stay is worn. The window can’t be just cracked open. It flies out to wide open. The extractor fan is very noisy. The neighbours room is too and disturbed me throughout the night. The fridge is so noisy when running I had to switch it off at bedtime. The guest book said breakfast available from 0730 but it appears this is only on Sat and Sun?? If I had known I would have made other arrangements. The Expedia info about the hotel says dining available seven days a week. Overall I am unhappy with my stay. I assume some form of discount is appropriate however the hotel DID NOT RESPOND TO MY MESSAGES.
