DO NOT USE HOTELS.COM
** WARNING DO NOT USE HOTELS.COM ** this hotel has been abandoned and after showing up and informing hotels.com I couldn't check in because the hotel no longer existed they have refused to refund my money because they cannot contact the hotel to confirm they are closed. THIS HOTEL HAS BEEN ABANDONED AND HOTELS.COM ARE FRAUDULENTLY ADVERTISING AND TAKING YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE FRAUDS. I booked MAHI MAHI through hotels.com for two nights (9th to 11th November 2021) and showed up to check in after a 2 hour bus ride to find it abandoned and falling apart (see pictures). The closest town was a 20 minute walk uphill with heavy backpacks to find wifi and somewhere to stay. I have spoken to 8 agents, half of which have lied to me saying they will call me back or email and never do and the other half hang up or magically lose connection on the instant chat. Also every time I speak to them they tell me they will try to contact the hotel (which obviously doesn't work because the hotel doesn't exist) and then tell me they cannot transfer me to a manager but one will call me back. Then no one calls me back and I have to start all over again. Truly disgusting customer service and engagement.
