    Would stay again but...

Everything was going great until I tried to valet park. They closed that and a guard told me they stopped offerring that. Had to park a long way away and it was 8:30 at night and I was very tired from attending a trade show. Only other comment I can make was the pillows were awful.

    Rio

Room was clean. The tub didn't drain well and I had no hot water foe 2 days. The check in and out lines were long but the 3 people on staff at the desk worked as fast as they could to move guests through. Upon checkout I informed the person checking me out that I had no hot water and she said the only thing she could do was take off a day of resort fees when I checked my email it was not removed. Overall my stay was ok.

Total Mess Check-in at the Rio

Check-in was a total mess! Info said we could check in at 4:00 pm and we got there about 5. Info also said free Valet was available, but valet was closed. I dropped my wife off at the entrance and went to self park. My wife sent me a text that she was getting in line. When I got inside there were 2 very long lines (literally hundreds of people) to check in, so I started walking down the lines looking for my wife. When I found her she had been in the line since she had entered the hotel. We are both retired and have some issues with standing and walking for long periods or distances. After we had been in line for about twenty minutes we found out that one line was for "express" check in on a bank of about 10 kiosks and the line we were in was for check in with a live clerk. The lines were poorly marked, but we weren't going to switch lines at this point. There were only two or three clerks working our line. After 45 minutes I asked a hotel employee monitoring the kiosks if this was normal, and she said "Oh, yes, but we're used to it." We ended spending more than an hour and a half in that line, with no chairs in the line or even in the lobby except at gamblijg tables or slot machines, and we don't gamble. After an hour and 45 minutes total we finally arrived in our room. We then decided to get some food so we went back downstairs to find very few in-hotel options open. But we noticed that the check-in line was finally down to a few people. If you stay here, check in after 7!

    What Happened To The Rio???

Waited 1.5 hours to check in, waited 1.5 hours for keys to the room only to find the elevators broken. Another 45 minutes to get to the room, Despite upgrading to luxury rooms, rooms were poor. Moldy drain, broken sinks, wallpaper ripping, holes in the wall. Directional signage ripped torn and falling off around the property. Not what I expect from a cesars resort.

Rio has gotten very bad - terrible stay

I know things are just opening back up post covid. Everyone is understaffed. Service industry is hit hardest and I'm ready to have fun and put money in the pockets of these hard workers. I won't be doing it at the Rio again though. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and thought a weekend trip to Vegas sounded like fun and something we hadn't done in several years. We've previously stayed at the Rio and had a blast. It's off strip but close enough to the action that it's really not a problem. First off. Check in time. Not too bad, we got in way late at around 11 and waited about 30 minutes to get checked in. Not very good. But better than check out. We were told that our rewards card didn't have our stay linked, so we needed to talk to someone when we checked out. We got in line at 9:30AM and waited almost an hour and a half for a huge line to barely move with two people helping. It was almost 11 AM, the checkout time, and we went to the automated kiosk and gave up linking the rewards so we didn't get a late check out time. Ridiculous. We asked for a couple of more pillows. After an hour, we called and asked again. Being after midnight and jet lagged we really were ready for bed. Another 45 minutes and we had our pillows. There was no room service in our room between nights. Not sure if that's not a thing anymore or what. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to have a couple of fresh towels and the trash taken out. Now, the room. Rio is an all suite hotel. The
