Pretty much as good as it gets
Prior to check in, the front desk sent me an email encouraging me to use self check in. They provided me with very clear instructions which in turn expedited my check in process. Upon arrival, the front desk lady was very friendly and cheerful and put a smile on my face. It’s obvious she enjoys her job and has most likely been working there for many years (simply due to her efficiency). Common areas of the hotel are all in meticulous condition and my room was exactly as expected. Comfortable beds, ample windows/window coverings, mini fridge and a nice bathroom with all of the necessary fixens. I appreciated the guest laundry and the fact that there was s side door, making for a much more efficient and straightforward departure. Hotel is nicely tucked away on a quiet street less than a 5 minute walk to several food stores, restaurants and fast food chains. I had no security concerns although I would encourage prospective guests to pay particular attention to the location as it’s by no means in the center of downtown. The only thing I’d dock points for would be the elevators. I’ve been in 100 year old buildings that have had faster lifts. They were so slow I honestly felt I was going back in time. All in all, 9.5/10 - well done!

Upon arrival Antionette greeted us with a friendly smile and a kind disposition. Upon walking into the room we noticed several stains on the carpet and the bathroom floor was sticky (see pictures). Obviously not super clean but initially wasn’t worth mentioning. The bathroom had cracked walls, something brown on the door frame (pictured). One cabinet had what appeared to be used wash clothes (also pictured). But the worst part was one pillow had lipstick stains on the pillow case & a few long black hairs inside the bed sheets. I did contact the front desk & received an apology along with a clean set of sheets to put on the bed myself.
