The location is really central. The hotel itself is a bit difficult to navigate and the entrance is not too obvious. The pool was popping with guests, but it was underwhelming based on the hype around it. The grand salon is extremely old and antique if that’s your vibe. Dark and musty but with a lot of history. The cabana rooms were designed to be rustic and were cozy, but towels and such were on the sparser side. Cool for the history.

Great property. There was an event happening on the main road, however valet was on the side of the building and that helped a lot. There is a lot of history in this hotel. Ask to be on the 9th floor. I believe that is where some of the "ghost" sightings were. The front desk clerk put me on floor 7 and said that was the floor, but when I looked into it, it was the 9th floor.

The stay was nice. The hotel does sound a little creaky, but it is 99 years old. The rooms are very clean and restored well. Superior rooms have hard wood floors, tiled shower, desk and a king bed. The pool area is a wonderful urban oasis and is worth spending at least a half day there. We loved relaxing at the pool between our morning and late afternoon outings.
