Bring your own breakfast!
During the week the resort is not offering any breakfast items at any restaurants. It appeared that they were running about half capacity for guests and staff but if you can offer it on the weekends why not the weekdays? River pool has great drinks. Comfortable bed but the room could use a good dusting.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The condo was clean and spacious. Not enough soap and shampoo for 3 people. No towels provided at the pool (most resorts provide them). Blanquets too thin.

Kingsmill is always a good stay
We love Kingsmill; try to stay here once a year for a little bit of luxury. I took a star off for two primary reasons; the shuttle was no longer available for taking into colonial Williamsburg even though shuttle service is still listed on the website. We had dinner reservations in Colonial Williamsburg and it's nice to take the shuttle and not have to worry about getting around. We did get an Uber, which is fine as well, but I wasn't expecting the shuttle to not be available as it has been in the past. The second reason it lost a star is because what I booked was a king suite with a "partial lake view". There are many rooms at Kingsmill that have extraordinary views, so I was hoping for the same this time. Instead, we mostly looked out at a berm with a little sliver of a view of the James River (picture attached). One more thing, there's one thermostat for the whole area, and the living room- kitchen area was extraordinarily hot while the bedroom was freezing. No temperature balance. Other than that, Kingsmill has the most comfortable beds and the rooms and bathrooms are always very clean. The grounds are extraordinarily beautiful. So all in all it's a lovely place to stay for a quick getaway.
