Would stay again
Clean, large room. Friendly check-in. Close to shopping on Queen St. Excellent breakfast buffet. Will stay again. Air conditioning didn’t keep the room cool enough- basically 24-25 degrees Celsius the whole time.

6/10 Good

Average but poor service
Stayed at the hotel during a visit to Auckland for two nights. The room and condition of the hotel was good. However the wifi in our room did not work. We contacted reception on 3 different occasions each time we were told it would be resolved within the hour, It was not. On one occasion we asked the receptionist t stated we will send a router to the room and ask for someone to come up and have a look. No one attended at any point and we were unable to use the Wifi throughout our stay which was quite critical as my partner had some work to complete during our stay.

Disappointing 3 night stay
Check in staff was great but from there on customer service when down hill. Went to the bar with brother and his partner to use the 3 vouchers I got for staying 3 nights. Bar man was a bit flippant. We ordered our drinks which took a while although there was only 1 other person there. My brother and his partners drinks arrived first so we waited for mine. 5 minutes later Bar man was no where to be seen so asked his off sider what is happening to my drink and which drink was for whom that had arrived asboth look similar in appearance. His off sider didn't know and barely spoke much english. He dashed off and located bar man whom returned to our table to say he could not find the Benedictine to made my Singapore Sling and I should order something else. Ordered a Harvey Wall banger and that also took sometime. The following night I got back at 10pm to have a shower and there was no hot water. Try calling reception, night manger, house keeping and all lines were engaged. Tried 10 mins later still engaged. Had cold shower than went to bed. The morning I was to depart relatively early the hot water was once again not available. Tried again calling but again all lines engaged so went downstairs to complain to the night manager. There was no apology from him when I mentioned this was the 2nd time there was no hot water but just said the engineer was working on it. I found his attitute appalling considering he is working in a "4" star hotel. The hotel is very dated .
