8/10 Very good

Convenient, comfortable, a bit dated
The Pinnacle Harborfront has become my backup hotel in Vancouver and this was my third stay. It’s convenient and consistent. Room size and the size of the small balconies varies even within room category, so if that matters to you, put in a special request. Personally I prefer the rooms with a balcony that’s big enough to stand on, rather than the ones on which it’s really just a glorified standing area in the room.
Furnishings are comfortable and well-kept, if a bit old. It could use a bit of an update to carpeting and paint, but what is there is kept well. Service has always been nice, but it can get busy during summer months on weekends when there’s a never-ending crush of cruise-goers on the night before departure.
Lobby restaurant is pretty good if a bit pricey. Typical for larger hotels. Food quality and service are good.
The neighborhood is convenient both to the waterfront and to the central business district, shopping, restaurants, etc.
Wi-fi is OK, but can get a bit slow and overloaded when the hotel is full on summer weekends. The pool area is nice to have on warmer weekends, though like many of the locals I have a preference for the fountain on the waterfront a few minutes away. I’m weird that way. Keeps me young…
