This hotel is not nearly worth as much as it costs to stay there and is nowhere near a four star hotel. Customer service is horrible as they complain for any small request, pictures are deceiving, they don’t understand their duties as a hotel and neither service the room or assist their guests as any hotel would and should. Their phones don’t work nor are set up with the adequate redirection so you have to use the hotel phone to call hotel as if you’re calling from any phone. Their answering machines still belong to the previous hotel, their carpets are extremely dirty and dusty and expect their guests to walk on it as they don’t provide slippers. I found a stain on every part of the bedding and towels, I contacted their manager to change my reservation and complain and she never got back to me after I left a voicemail, I requested that they change my sheets and they didn’t for two days- they only redid the bed, very dirty windows, I even had a cracked window, damaged furniture with scratches and stains filled with dust, dirty stained walls and doors, and the rooms reek. The WiFi also stops working randomly and they just kept saying they’re working on it but never fixed it. I also took a shower and 10 minutes in the smoke alarm went off and when I called the hotel they said oh it’s from the hot water when there was certainly nowhere close to being that hot for it to turn on a smoke alarm.

My check in process was very easy although we had about two mishaps selecting my room the front desk associate was very apologizing and accomandating I would definitely recommend this hotel again to anyone looking for a reasonable stay in the city very close to Grand Central

Wrong charges and NO response
Firstly, I booked this hotel because it was a Hilton at the time I booked it. As I am a Hilton Honors member, I look for them. I got a call from the hotel to let me know that they sold to Westgate and they would honor my "free breakfast" to keep my booking, so I agreed to keep the reservation. I requested a quiet room away from an elevator, and they gave me a room RIGHT NEXT to the elevator. So, I asked for a second "quiet room" and they gave me a room which shared a wall with some kind of generator which made noise all day, all night, nonstop. I had earplugs so I kept the room anyway as the "white noise" sort of faded into the background after a while. When I checked out, the desk clerk gave me a bill for the $35 / day breakfast (I was there for 5 days). I told the clerk that I was promised a free breakfast and that I would cover the daily tips I charged but not the actual breakfast. He was harried and I was on my way to the airport, so he said he would remove the breakfast charge and email me a new receipt. Instead, I was CHARGED over $157 for the breakfasts. I have called the hotel about 8 times, and even called customer service for Westgate - and this charge has not been removed from my credit card. Now, I have to go through American Express to dispute. This is a TERRIBLE hotel that does not care about guests and will charge you fraudulently and not respond no matter how many times you call to complain. STAY AWAY!

The location is great for the price and just a 15 min walk into time square and close to a hop on bus route. Friendly staff and clean but small room. We had a window view of the back of an old church and a glimpse of sky. Not great but better than our friends who paid the same price and only got a brick wall! Big annoyance was the AC noise. Lots of clunks and bang as it switches cooling on and off during the night. Very loud like a door banging. This is not good enough. You need to be able to sleep in a hotel! The staff know about it and said they dread the summer coming as they will now get lots of complaints. But apparently management won’t pay to fix it! I would not go back until it was fixed. Too much disturbance Also disappointed with the business center facility. The computer security is OTT and would not let me download an attachment I needed to print. What is the point of having a printer??! Another problem staff already knew about. I had to email my private documents to a staff members own email so he could print it for me. At least he was very friendly and helpful.

Disappointed
Honestly, the hotel was very disappointing. First we got there around 6pm, Check in is at 3 and our room wasn’t ready. They comped our breakfast for the delay, which we very much appreciated. Once we got to our room it was VERY hot, with a table top fan on full blast. We tried to turn on the AC and after about an hour realized it’s definetly not working. We call for maintenance, the man came up and fixed it immediately, he was a very sweet man and had it done right away it also made a mess on our carpet. They had a fan set up in the room, obviously KNOWING the AC wasn’t working. Why didn’t they fix it before we went to the room? Oh ya, and when we called for maintenance, they barely acknowledge us on the phone. We were on our way out but had no idea what was happening so we waited a few minutes and he showed up. The room felt and smelt damp, like mildew. Also, we wanted to take a bath but the drain stopper was broken. Too late to call for service. We called around 10am for late check out, the man on the phone said the latest he could do is 2pm. I said “ok, can we have that”, he replied “ok, and hung up” nothing more was said so I assumed it was ok. Around noon, they called our room and hung up, then around 1215, they rang our doorbell twice and left without saying anything, so we felt pressured to leave. Overall, disappointed with most aspects of our stay but the bed was VERY comfortable.
