Not the best stay
Beautiful hotel but not worth the price. I was met at the entrance by the bellman who helped with my bags he sent me to the 6th floor to check in then disappeared with my bags I had to wait 20 min. to check in because my bags were nowhere to be found and my passport was in one of my bags. There was loud construction across the street off my balcony not the hotels fault but kinda annoying. My room had wood floors that were all scratched up. Also the room was kinda plain Jane. Nothing special The headboard had reading lights built in and the bathroom was small but nice. the elevator has stone tiles which one was broken and your foot kinda sank into. Nice view from the front pool but small swimming pool. Beside the first bellmen incident the staff was great and the bed was comfortable. But not sure I would stay there again

Definitively not a 5 star
I had a terrible experience, starting from the check-in. Long and staff is inadeguate, I had one of the teller (bruno) preferr giving attention to his colleague and to his phone rather than me. The supervisor after hearing me out thought that my problem wasn’t that big issue. Booked a room with sea view, my view was just my next door balcony. They upgraded me trying to put a patch after the mishap at the reception. They gave me a suite, and my wife found a used condom on he floor, amazing! I almost wanted to leave. Besides this: hotel has strong fragrances like Las Vegas style, hotel is noisy, and they should rename rooms with partial sea view and sea view. Some of the staff should totally work in a different business. Concierge was positive note and the assistant general manager, they heard me out but the damage was done. Definitively not a 5 star hotel

The fairmont on Copacabana was amazing. Everything was beautifully set up an easy to access for all individuals, including anyone that is handicap access with wheelchairs as they were elevators that access you to the sixth floor lobby area, which then gains you access to the main elevator. At that point to your rooms. The rooms are set up beautifully and all of the rooms have excellent views even though the city views say city views, they do also sometimes have partial water views so it’s nice I believe all of the views in this Fairmont hotel in Copacabana the hotel are beautiful and the hotel is very safe outside of the hotel. There are restaurants that are connected to the hotel and some that are not. They’re both excellent and I would recommend eating at all of them that you’re staying at the best hotel in Copacabana . The walk to Ipanema is very easy it’s only 3 to 5 minutes and it has Wi-Fi the entire way and there’s also security guards on the building and along the wall down to impanima beach so it is very secure this area.
