Small Waterfront Hotel , Convenient Location
This hotel is a favorite mainly because of its location. You are on the water looking across to Vancouver City. There is a Market below and a major transportation hub for buses and the Sea Bus outside. There is a movie theatre, restaurants and bars and a summer Friday night market within close walking distance. The rooms are a bit tired but very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is reasonable, especially compared to the City, and the fact it is easy to get to the city on public transportation.

A good base for seeing Vancouver
The hotel is in a perfect position within easy reach of the bus station and also the sea bus taking you to downtown Vancouver. Plenty to do and see at Lonsdale Quay. Breakfast is available at the hotel and is good quality. The hotel is efficiently run, but would benefit from redecoration as it is very tired looking and the décor becomes dark and depressing after a while. That said, we enjoyed our visit and would certainly stay again.

Great location but only adequate accommodation.
Arrived at service desk and informed that they needed to have $250 damage deposit on my credit card. What the heck! I had just returned from 7 day trip to USA and NEVER asked for this at both high end and moderately priced accommodation. Didn't think that we, 2 granny seniors, would present any risk to the hotel room.Next, I had to pay $12 for parking. I think the room price should include parking for one vehicle. Overall, I would say that the hotel is looking a little tired and needs something special to justify price. Staff were efficient but not overly friendly. Location is the only great thing about the place.

High Dollar hotel not worthy
I was told of this hotel by a friend. For the $$$$ price, hotel is not what it should be. The hotel lobby was extremely hot on arrival. Check in was ok. The actual room was STEAMING HOT. Bathroom sink had cracks, tub continually leaked. A giant spider in the tub that I killed. No hair conditioner and when I called front desk, they told me I had to come down stairs to get it. I told them I was already ready for my shower and couldn't come down. They did bring it up a few minutes later. On the second day, housekeeping did not refurnish sugar and cream for coffee. I called and AGAIN was told I would have to come down stairs. I didn't go. I ordered room service and my omelette was burnt. But the young lady who delivered it was wonderful. That evening after returning, housekeeping HAD NOT left washcloths...and had not left sugar and creamer AGAIN. I will add that when I've paid this kind of money for a hotel, there is always a robe in the closet. No robe. The outdoor patio had not been swept...there was actually pieces of shrimp scales underneath as well as lots of dirt. I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel...and unfortunately...there just wasn't much right about it. Beautiful location...after you ride through heavy industry. When I went to checkout...there was no "Good morning" there was no "How did you like us", there was not anything..."just here's your bill." It's too bad because it could be an awesome hotel.
