Not impressed
Oveanview room had a view of the roof of the lower level only able to see ocean if you looked through the trees. The toilet bagged up. Elevators weren’t all operable so wait times were long which made them overcrowded. Stains on the curtains ( food or blood).. if I was staying for more than a day to catch a cruise .. I wouldn’t have enjoyed as much and would’ve requested another room.

For the price we should have at least a queen bed Room wasn’t ready until after 4. Elevator was t working very long wait had to take stairs. Chances of staying there again are very very slim. Way too expensive for what we received.

Great place with some issues
This is our second year staying at the Riu, so obviously we like it. Good location, nice rooms, great beach, nice pool. Also a good value, including the excellent breakfast, which can be pricey on the beach. Two nits that persist are 1) the check in procedure, which approximates applying for citizenship; and 2) the fact that none of the parking staff speak any English at all (I suspect they have been instructed not to try, because even the most simple question elicits a frantic search for a hotel employee who is free, which often takes some time).

Great Stay with Perfect Location!
Great stay with perfect location right on the beach that has a restaurant, poolside bar and food shop/bakery. Full breakfast was included with our stay. Also around many other food places/restaurants and businesses. Complimentary beach/pool towels, beach chairs and umbrellas were also included. Room and hotel as a whole was clean and spacious. Front desk staff was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Pricey but works for families
The room was smaller than we thought it would be so we felt quite crammed. Thank goodness for the spacious balcony, which was ocean front but not ocean view. We were on the 4th floor and overlooked the roof so opt for a higher floor if given the option. The double sinks were nice but having them right at the door did not work. The breakfast buffet was very convenient for a family (included with stay). Food was ok but it served its purpose. The poolside restaurant had good options and quick service. If you get in late the valet could be full. We had to use a neighboring hotel lot which was inconvenient and they had terrible service and no care for our vehicle (left with a lost key fob and bumper scratched). Do not use AC hotel if you’re in that predicament.
