Hotel is a dump, smells gross, doors don’t fully close. It’s surrounded by bars so at 2am loud drunks come out yelling and one puked under our window. Parking is 2 blocks away. Downtown Placerville is a cool little town, but there has got to be a better option.

I know it’s a historic building, but the fittings in the room were neither Gold Rush-era historic nor up-to-date. The whole building had a dusty musty smell. Big disappointement with the room, far to expensive for the quality of the room. Only one night light by the bed with a very dirty and disintegrating shade, I paid for a kitchenette with no silverware pots or pans. Room decor does not fit the historic building. Not a hotel to recommend.
