Hotel Bardo

Amazing experience..love my 4day stay. The vibes are magical..beautiful place i have no compliants..well i think they should have more food options at the hotel..but the avocado was amazing lol My pictures doesn’t do it justice..but it’s a beautiful place It’s in a jungle lol but is off the strip of Tulum like in the city of Tulum..Tulum is up and coming..this hotel is a 1 year old..hope this helps

I was very disappointed with my stay at Hotel Bardo. It was my first time going to Mexico and I was so excited to get away on a wellness retreat. Prior to arriving, they reached out and asked if I needed a car to pick me up at the airport and I thought that was a great sign. However, no car ever arrived and no one got back to me from the hotel. I had to wait at the airport and find a trusted car. When I arrived to the hotel, they let me know that they were building a new boutique and there was some construction. My villa was directly in front of the construction and the workers used power tools and heavy machinery from 8am to 3-4am every day. It was extremely loud and upsetting for what was supposed to be a wellness retreat. I recorded video and sent it to the managers. They apologized profusely and offered me a comped night. Unfortunately, they never issued the refund back to my credit card. There are SO many wonderful retreats in Tulum. I highly recommend not staying at this one especially if you are alone and looking for a peaceful stay. Their communication is absolutely terrible.

This place is a breath of fresh air. The privacy, intimacy and luxury makes it the best place by far in Tulum. The staff was AMAZING! I would definitely come back here again.

Our stay was excellent, it could not have been better. We checked in and the staff was very gracious and friendly. The suite is perfect for a day or two away from the hustle and bustle of the beach road. I would highly recommend the bardo hotel. Clean, well kept, and very trendy boutique

Hotel Bardo is pure ✨ magic ✨ My husband and I went there on a whim two months ago as a brief distraction from the pandemic. So we booked one night and two days at this gorgeous property. It was a pricey decision, but one I intend to repeat when it's safer to travel again. My only regret is not extending our reservation so I could have spent a whole week at Bardo. Let's start with the property details. This intimate boutique hotel is situated in the city, so it's not within walking distance of the beach. That was perfectly fine with us because we didn't feel the need to leave our hotel during our stay. What the surrounding neighborhood lacks in charm, this hotel makes up for with it's stunning, tropical landscaping and boho-chic decor. My favorite spot was the tranquil pool in the center of the property that is unsurprisingly quite popular with guests. They also have a top-notch bar and restaurant conveniently next to the pool (so you truly never have to leave except to explore the city and lounge and the beach). We did some major damage to our budget because we couldn't resist trying every G&T, all equally delicious. The staff was all exceptionally accommodating and attentive. Every staff member we passed asked if we needed assistance. Now onto the best part: the villas! Each room at Bardo is a private, immaculately designed villa that includes a private pool and jungle garden with a hammock. The result is your own personal Paradise that you'll never want to leave. The staff here from the front desk all the way to the folks who maintain and clean the various spaces within the property were delightful. I proposed to my fiancé during this trip and Julian made the evening return to our villa as special as the moment was. Additionally, she and I’d both like to give a shout to Fidel and Paola who served us many nights at the hotel restaurant. They were a real pleasure and added greatly to our experience. Honestly the best hotel in Tulum, right in the heart of the city.Their attention to detail is unreal, the front staff made sure we had transportation for all of our outings Mayda and Lily were awesome Lily even help us after she was off this transportation back to the hotel. The pool was gorgeous and they light up the grounds at night the pics do not do it justice- breathtaking

Great decor ! Friendly and attentive staff ! Food was amazing! I will definitely be back !
