Great For CDB Location, Nothing More
We definitely paid for the location. The room was small, but ok, but a refresh was needed. In the bathroom, the shower head was too low over the bath, and my husband had to lean forward to avoid hitting his head on it. The shower water temperature was very hot, and could not be adjusted. While it wasn't a big deal for us, there is no help given with your luggage or no valet parking. We were annoyed that a bottle of wine I requested to be in our room as a surprise for my husband wasn't there. Instead, I was given a voucher on check in to get the bottle myself from the restaurant between 5 and 10pm. We found a few of the staff very unhelpful and doing nothing more than 'going through the motions'. We will not be going back

Had much better for the price
Paid $160 for an "Executive Room". The room they gave me on the 7th floor was hot, loud even with ear plugs in from the street so clearly the windows were't double glazed, and where the bed was the positioned from the light that came through the door, it was so bright I couldn't sleep. On top of that, a small but frustrating thing was after a long day in a conference, I wanted to watch some tv and the remote batteries were going flat. After getting in bed and discovering the noise and light issues, the hassle of having to go down stairs and conplain to then be taken to a room in the 15th floor that I was told was for "Coroporate clients" that was free of these issues but then told when I asked someone what the normal proce difference for what looked like and was lead to believe was a more expensive room seemed strange to me. The water pressure in this room though was poor in the shower in the morning though so STILL not a great experience on top of everything else that occurred. The "Manager" that I spoke to about my concerns initially and the fact that prior to all the first room issues was thinking of staying here again in January for another conference, seemed not to really listen or get what my frustrations were and not phased about the loss of further business. Not a great first experience and left me not wanting to return here. Will look for another Hotel in future. $100 deposit on check in here for the room is required too.

Lovely hotel close to RMH in the city
Everything about this hotel was great. From the lobby being nice, the staff friendly, with the no hassles checkin. We'd pre-booked and paid for the room, we had to leave our cc details as they reserve room credit that's credited back on check out, staff gave us our 2 passkeys, free wifi internet coupon. We had to pay for parking, it's a shared carpark for the hotel as well as being public using a valet. Room was nice, not spacious, very comfy bed, linen, 4+ pillows and cushions. The tv was a good size, had all the main channels plus movies to rent (we didn't rent). Fully stocked fridge with goodies all for purchase (we didn't buy any). Had a kettle, tea, coffee, ironing board, extra blanket, air-con worked well but you have to leave a passkey in the switch for it to stay on. Bathroom was an alright size with a shower above the bath, I forgot my conditioner so I used the ones the hotel supplied, it was a good quality conditioner. We had a tiny balcony that had a downward view of the street. There's a restaurant tho we didn't know this when we arrived, it would've been good if the staff had of mentioned it. The 'all hours' menu via room service was great, we decided to try a seafood taster and a chicken breast sandwich...both were very nice, good prices. It was a lovely room, it was suited for sleeping because it's quite a small room (we had the executive king room). We would stay again as we had a great experience.

Disappointed will definitely not return
Firstly staff were helpful and courteous. Otherwise the less said the better. The room we were allocated for our 5 night stay was nothing short of disgraceful. Tiny, we could hardly move, furniture old, a balcony that was filthy and looked onto lane can understand why the curtains were closed tight making room even more dingy. The walls had some sort of mould/dirt on them. To cut a long story short we paid $100.00 extra for larger, cleaner, renovated room. Breakfast room adequate although quite cold and in need of renovation.

A lot can be improved with the right people..
The room was nice, but the service and options could be improved, particularly with the reputation of the hotel. From checking in, we were told that no cash deposits can occur. Info provided by might be incorrect as the confirmation stated cash or credit card bond but we were told no alternatives followed by silence - I rarely use credit card and didn’t bring it because the holding takes too long to reimbursed. Thankfully my partner had theirs. The room seemed great, comfortable and clean - but when taking a shower the conditioner and the body wash were both empty. Seemed odd, but we kind of just thought “whatever”. The front door is locked after a certain time and while out I stupidly misplaced the key. The girl on reception appeared to have no job satisfaction and reluctantly, obviously a huge imposition, assisted us. Others pressed the buzzer during this and with an audible sigh/groan/noise, she let them in.. just.. lovely.. Checkout at 11 had long lines of people, not the individuals fault who were working but surely it’s regular enough to chang it? I had lined up behind people who needed to split their bill and took their time doing so (not the fault of the hotel, just adding to the experience), but I was next so finally I thought I could check out when they left. Nope, a call was taken - fair enough I suppose, who knows how long they’d waited but apparently it was a complaint which didn’t end quickly. Eventually checked out. Average.
