Copal Tulum Hotel

First time in Tulum, didn't realize how far the hotel is from the beach strip, so be prepared to spend money on Taxi they have set fees on the way to the beach but coming back is when the local taxi drivers can charge whatever they want specially if you are returning at night be ready to pay 2 or 3 times more, the hotel is a converted condominium building so if you rent a single room you will be hearing whatever the neighbors are doing....... With that said I had a few days where the neighbors were playing really loud music since 8 am and there was nothing I could do, also there was a group of women from ATL that got into an argument and it was very loud as well, however the Japanese restaurant on the second level is amazing some of the best food I had during my stay.

We loved it at the Copal Tulum Hotel, we are a family of 4 with a teen and a 7 year old and stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a private pool Pros: Easy parking, right outside reception along the sidewalk Beautiful large stylish apartment Common pool was amazing and our kids loved it. Nice temperature and plenty of shade to keep the sun at bay. All the staff were super friendly. They kept the mosquitos at bay with citronella, but a few still found their way into our room and bit us at night. Rooftop pool is beautiful and overlooks the hotel and jungle. We didn't spend a lot of time there as it's quite exposed, but worth the visit. Bikes and scooters for rental - looked good but we didn't rent them. Cons: Location, in a new area which is nice, but not that convenient to the beach and town (there's a secret road to the town that isn't marked on google maps). The road to the beach is busy and it's hard to find parking. We were encouraged not to visit the partner beach club and didn't bother with it Kitchen - it's a beautiful kitchen and while we didn't plan to cook, there was a lack of kitchenware so it would have been impossible. There were no bowls and we had to go to the restaurant each day to get then for breakfast. Private pool : such a disappointment, it's like a hot tub but freezing, so ended up being pretty much useless for us. Also, we were on the ground floor and the pool is not at all private with people walking along looking right in.

Copal Tulum is very beautiful ! The entire staff services were impeccable!! Ivan was very professional and exceptional at the front desk !! Laly and all the beautiful ladies at the front desk were very professional and exceptional . The restaurants at the were very beautiful ! The staff was amazing ! Copal is very clean !! The housekeeping staff was amazing ! Moses gives the BEST massages ever !! What a wonderful beautiful soul! The owner should be VERY proud of his staff ! I loved staying here ! I will be back !! It’s very tranquil . I love Copal Tulum !! ♥️♥️

Loved this tucked away Gem!!! The staff was amazing and communication was great. If you have any concerns they respond quickly. I highly recommend this place .. I stayed in the 3 bedroom and loved the pool which is more like a jacuzzi! But it was perfect. Would stay again.

My stay at Copal was absolutely amazing, with this being my first time in Tulum, the staff was so friendly and willing to help me find activities and places to eat even covid testing so I can get back in the states. I can’t wait to go back !

We found this place by accident - we had to move from our house rental at 1am on a Wednesday night (we found several scorpions in the bed!) and I went online and Copal looked good and had a room so we took it. We were not expecting anything amazing just clean and safe. I can't say enough good things about this place. We arrived at 1am a little bedraggled in our night clothes. They were helpful, considerate, and happy to make our stay amazing even though we only planned to stay just 1 night. As it turns out we stayed 4 and had not one complaint. Copal Tulum was beautiful, clean, comfortable and all of the staff go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We will certainly be back!

Room was not to size and it smelled of humidity. We had to move 3 times but same problem.

the room was much smaller than described on the pictures. We requested early check-in but our room was not available for almost two hours past check-in time. Other than that, everything was okay

I’ve worked in luxury hospitality for many years, and the staff of this hotel truly understand hospitality and service. The property is beautiful, the energy of the front desk and concierge is great, and the decor is sexy. It is advertised as a quiet, non-party hotel and the staff has a hard time getting some guests to respect the quiet hours during peak party season in Tulum. That being said, they even gave me a second room away from the noise one night when I couldn’t sleep. They truly go above and beyond, made me feel really loved and welcomed while I was traveling alone. I stayed here for 6 nights and I felt like a priority the entire time. Everyone from housekeeping, every concierge, security, front desk and my massage therapist were absolutely wonderful. When you’re in a hotel, service is everything and they definitely understand this at Copal. I stayed in a top floor King pool balcony room, it had plenty outdoor space and a private pool, epic views and lots of sun when I wanted it. Stay here for a sexy lounge vibe away from the madness of the hotel zone but close enough to bike or scooter to the beach quickly, and close to the great restaurants and yoga spots in town.

Very beautiful and private. Will visit again!! Perfect suites for couples.
