Nice cheap place to stay. Three pools, one has swim up bar on weekends (weather permitting). Great for families and couple travelers. Only 10 minutes to cairns city and airport. Book for weekdays if you want to avoid children.

Spiders. So many spiders.
A roller coaster of emotions. First you walk onto the property and are thinking "Cool jungle theme, but looks pretty beat up." But then you go in your room and see it is recently remodeled and think, "Oh well that is pretty nice." Then you pull out a piece of fruit to eat and 5 minutes later the place is swarming with ants. And then spiders lay eggs in your backpack, and you think, "SPIDERS! SO MANY SPIDERS!" And they keep hatching for days until they fumigate the plane on the way to Philippines and you think, "Well I'm poisoned now, but it was worth it." Also the restaurant wasn't open when it was supposed to be, and breakfast was so so.

The Restaurant and Bar are fantastic and great for entertaining kids with playground and pool nearby. The property outside could do with a bit of a revamp, gerny the paths and blow away leaves and a paint but the main disappointment was our king bed. Two singles beds stuck together which is fine but they were different heights and could feel the edge of the bed digging into body.
