The absolute worst hotel stay in my life!
They put us into a room in front of the laundry room. After checking out the room I asked receptionist to be moved away from the laundry. The receptionist lied to us, saying there are no rooms available. We called the hotel anonymously from the beach and asked if they had rooms and were told they had 2 rooms available for $192.66 Receptionist started arguing with me!! When caught cheating the receptionist said that: “Nobody has called the hotel. I was here the whole time. We don’t have any rooms. You didn’t call the hotel. If you would have called, I would have said we don’t have rooms. I have been working here long enough to know what to do.” This is an absolutely outrageous situation! This hotel’s employee was caught lying and cheating, and kept blaming us, the customers, that we were lying regarding the call. After I showed her the call information on the mobile phone she just said that it doesn't matter even if we called, there are still no rooms for us. The bad experiences weren’t quite finished at that point. Starting at 5 A.M. employees started using the fire escape door that was adjacent to our room. It slammed every time it was closing. We woke up every single time the fire escape door was being used. The laundry started to run before 9 a.m., also creating really bad noise. The room looked shabby: everything was old, the paint was peeling off, and there was mould everywhere! Also, the sheets had nasty stains on them. Absolute nightmare stay! STAY AWAY!

The ❤️ of South Beach area.
Hotel room was very clean. Perfect for a get-away. Info for travelers. The room is not big, queen size bed, flat screen TV, mini fridge, small dresser and closet. Hot water and great water pressure in the shower. A little more than a block to the beach, and everything from restaurants to shopping are just walking distance away. The staff and bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. They offer valet service and right next to the hotel is a public parking lot. Overall I would recommend staying here but don't expect a fancy updated lobby, it's quaint.

Pleasant Stay
The location is outstanding- one block from the beach at 13th Street and Collins Avenue- and proximal to plentiful restaurants at various price points. My room was small and basic, but ergonomic and didn't lack for anything. The front desk staff was polite. Still, like everywhere, some were friendlier and more on the ball than others. One (Cat) astounded me by immediately knowing my name, even though up to that point we hadn't met. She informed me that she knows the name of everybody staying at the hotel. I believe her. Yet, the next day, when I asked for a bottle of water, another person at the front desk briefly accused me of not being a guest, even though we had met. Go figure. BTW, free cold or room temp. bottle waters was an appreciated feature of the hotel. Housekeeping left 2 bottles in the room each day and extras were always available at the front desk at no charge, as were beach towels, which was also a nice feature. Housekeeping was also excellent. The maid on my floor was friendly, did a thorough job, and always was willing to clean my room at a time convenient for me. Also, the Wi-Fi worked better than at most hotels. Breakfast was good, albeit was small and slightly overpriced. For breakfast I highly recommend Charlotte's Bakery by Washington and 15th. Great food, great choices, excellent prices. Whether I ordered a South American egg dish, empanada, arepita, tequeno, or legit fresh-squeezed OJ, the food was excellent. Well worth the walk.
