Unacceptable management and customer service!
The first day, we arrived around 1:30 om but they kept us hanging without a room until 6 pm! Apparently, they had a remodeling project going on in building 3, which was evacuated for that reason. So, they were out of rooms and were overbooked. They forced us to have a room in building 3 (with all the construction work), or go to their much smaller sister resort in another town. To compensate this, they gave us nothing but a higher privilege access, which was nothing but more discounts on purchased items and 1 free dinner. No matter how many managers we talked to, this was the final deal. We were out of options and already in Mexico, so we took it. The next day they started construction from 7:00 am, while they told us it wouldn't start before 9:00 am. I went to front desk and almost started a flight with them. They didn't start that early again, but the first couple days was very frustrating!

Ok but ..
Hotel is fine. Staff is very cordial and professional. The exercise room could be improved. Good value for the area but there are cheaper options, if not as nice. My main complain was that there were private parties on the rooftop top every night I was there. I could not use the roof top and the party noise was extremely disruptive to my routine . I confronted management about it and the answer was "it should have ended by now". My point is it shouldnt have started on the first place.for two reasons - it takes away one of the selling features of the hotel (rooftop deck and pool), and the guest shouldnt have to deal with loud music.
