Central basic hotel
We love the central location! The shower while very basic, has the best water pressure on any hotel we have stayed at in the cbd, one of the main reasons we keep going back. The hotel is starting to look a little tired, carpet is looking old, bathroom badly needs a paint ( there were black finger prints around the man hole were work had been done, but not cleaned afterwards) the air con fan didn't work so the room was stuffy. The 1st lift surround was patched up on one of the days we were there and it was a different coloured paint, seems like maintenance isn't a priority. The pillows look nice and thick but the moment you put your head on them you sink straight through to the mattress. I asked for a thicker pillow the 1st night we were there, they couldn't do thicker so offered extra pillows. I slept with 3 pillows and was uncomfortable. We both like this hotel, but it does need some money spent on it

Poor 2.0
Pros: good location, soft sheets, large bath towels Cons: mattress is fairly cheap and uncomfortable; shower has very poor water pressure, inconsistent temperature, slow to get hot, doesn’t get very warm (definitely wouldn’t want to stay here in winter); sound penetrates the room more easily than most hotel rooms - very noisy; reception staff are reasonably polite when they actually acknowledge you but for the most part they seem very happy to ignore you unless you’re standing absolutely in front of them and even then it takes awhile; there are two elevators - one that takes you to level two and then another to take you to higher floors, this is not too uncommon but the first elevator is one of the slowest I’ve ever had to experience (and I’ve stayed in over 60 different hotels around the world); bathroom is small with almost no space for personal toiletries; curtains do not block out light, so take a sleeping mask if you prefer completely dark rooms for sleeping; entire place is fairly old and rundown and in desperate need of a full renovation. Overall: I only stayed here for two nights but I found it fairly terrible. I’m grateful I didn’t book for longer, it would have ruined my stay. Definitely one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.

Very good 8.0
We stayed here twice, on the first visit the room was clean and the staff were helpful. The only down side was we arrived early in the morning and check in wasn't till 2pm, however the staff realised how tired we were and managed to get our room ready before this time. The reception area was uncomfortable and it would of been nice if we could of waited on the second floor where there were comfortable sofa's, tv, toilets and vending machines. Our second visit was at the end of our holiday and our son was staying with us, we were told it was a superior room with a sofa bed for our son. the room was slightly bigger than the first room to fit a sofa in but this was the double bed and was a mattress about six inch off the floor with two proper single beds. I did go to complain and asked for a room with a proper double bed as I suffer with my back, they didn't seem to understand the problem but did phone the manager who said he would change our room the following day. I thought the bedside cabinet was fixed to the headboard but when I realised I could move it, I rearranged the furniture myself and then let reception know what I had done. The bed was made up as a double the next day. Maybe the room needs to be described as a family room not a superior room.

Very good 8.0
The hotel is located conveniently closed to everywhere in the city. They even provide discount parking. The room however, is small. I think they will really need to fix the problem with the shaking lift. It is not safe at all. I appreciate to the reception lady who let my bf borrow a knife so he can cut some lemons for my flu. She’s a great employee who goes above and beyond. The man next to her seems like he doesn’t care. If you want a decent place which closes to everything. This is the place

Poor 2.0
We had to pay a deposit when makibg our bookibg and wheb we arrived at the property we had to pay another $50. Thst is $180 before we even got to the room. We were told this bonds would be paid back into my account. We have now been back for over a week and gave not been refunded this money yet. Each time i have called they said to wait 7 days and did not shown any interest. To date i have still not had the mobey put back in my account. We also left the night before due to my oartner having a medical episode and they showed absolutely no interest in him not being well. All the receptionist worried about was that we must pay and go. Shocking treatment. We will never stay there again.
