Great location but dated hotel in need of refurb!

Great staff, great location but dated hotel in need of repair/refurbishment and in some cases a good clean. Most of the staff were great throughout the stay, and they helped give the hotel a better "score". The hotel itself? I paid a fortune for a two night stay in a family room to find: a light not working, a clogged bath drain and the next morning to find the bathroom crawling with insects. We had to change rooms because of the insects and although we were given an upgrade, this room also had problems with cleanliness problems around the bed and a main door handle that wasnt working properly. Despite being offered to have my bill wiped for the stay and some compensation for the issues experienced, unfortunately at check out the staff had changed and the person I dealt with was happy to charge me for what was on the bill and left it at that. This hotel still has a lot of potential - the pool was great and the breakfast was also very good. But as it is, this is not worthy of the Crowne Plaza name and the run down rooms and poor maintenance needs addressing.
