    When we arrived to our room, it smelled terrible. There was also a small box plugged in and running on the desk. It was clearly printed on the box that it should not be run in occupied spaces. We think that it was some sort of air ionizer but had no idea what the smell was. We also had very angry neighbors who were arguing loudly throughout the entire night ....both indoors and outside. All in all, this stay was very unpleasant.

    Right off the highway was a plus. NO bedspread on the bed, no hairdryer to use, no complimentary shampoo or conditioner, no rugs on the cold floor, no coffee neither in the room or the office. One ice machine for the entire building and the heat made a LOUD clicking sound ALL NIGHT LONG! Went to check out in the morning and slipped on icy stairs!

    Almost no sound insulation

    At 5 in the morning, I woke up with the phone alarm for 30 minutes in another room. After a while, at 7 o'clock, I couldn't sleep because of the sound of TV in another room. The noise in the other room was loud, the heater was weak, and there was female hair in the bed.

    This is a very no frills place

    I stay because so far the management has been friendly and accommodating. Many times I travel at night and look for a place early morning to sleep and prepare for my next stop.

    I liked the friendly people some people gave me great customer service. Others however did not. Some made me feel like family. Others however did not make me feel welcome. I had a number of issues staying here. And that’s all I have to say. Housekeeping was beyond friendly to me!! Certain female employees were the best and super nice and welcoming to my family. Having a child with special needs and on the spectrum is hard enough but having to have an extended stay in a place where my son cried, had his 6th birthday and my son made friends. I enjoyed my time with my partner but the number of anxiety attacks I endured here was not good. I shouldn’t have to be made to feel afraid about paying or getting by when it’s the choice I had to make for my family during this difficult time.

    The good: the front desk staff was friendly. The bad: The building premises is littered with cigarette butts. The bathroom was not entirely clean and the non-smoking room smelled like that was not the case. People who looked like tenants rather than guests were up drinking and smoking right outside the room door and window. They partially complied when asked to keep the noise down with my children trying to sleep.

    Room was acceptable, but a little below average in my opinion. Slight odor. like it was a smoking room in the recent past, but tolerable. Bedding was oddly reversed with blanket below sheet. Never seen that before. Bathroom sink pop-up drain was stuck closed (loose linkage). Simple fix for me, but apparently rocket science for the hotel staff. Shower tub slow to drain ( I HATE that) but there was nothing I could do to fix that. I did not expect premium conditions or service for a one night low cost hotel room. Check-in and check-out staff were polite and easy to deal with. I think they just need to pay a little more attention to general maintenance items.

    Evacuated

    So me and 11 other families were evacuated from my home and told to stay at a hotel, I chose Motel 6 as they allow pets and I have my therapy cat. I was here for six days and the staff at the front desk was awesome they were understanding of our situation and we’re willing to give us later check out times if needed as we wait for our landlord to contact us. The only complaint that I have is that when I switched rooms the second room I was in room 315 smelt like a drunk homeless guy all you could smell was booze.
