$200 a night for a basic room with roaches
Great location. Basic rooms. Minimal amenities (no coffee, bagged breakfast with a microwave burrito). Not worth price, especially given the roaches and poor management.... On the first morning of our stay my daughter found 2 baby roaches in the bathroom. I reported to the front desk and was told someone would look into it When we returned later in the day there was no evidence anyone had been there, not even a cleaning service. The next day I found another small roach in the fridge (yuck!) and on a nearby surface. I tried to speak with a manager but apparently they don't work on the weekends. The young man at the front desk was friendly and sympathetic but not empowered to take any action. I requested a discount or at least a waiver of the ridiculous resort fee ($20/night to use towels) but was told the best they could do was change our room for the last night. Won't be returning.

Convenient, well-priced Hollywood hotel
Overall, the room was clean. There was some moldy grout in shower. Because there was little drawer space, it would have been nice to have had the closet shelf clean. The floor could have been washed--it did not appear dirty but slipper socks showed it was. The service was very good. Every staff member was interested in being helpful and responding promptly.

The No Quality Inn
Hotel is rather run down...definitely not up to standards for a Quality Inn. Our phone in room didn't even work and we found out that they knew about it and "were going to get fixed within the week". Also no elevator so its a lot of stairs to carry your luggage up. The area is close to Hollywood Walk of Fame and quite a few eateries which is convenient but rather noisy and not the safest.
